CIPA aims to promote reuse of a coherent set of infrastructure tools, along with underlying open specifications to support cross-border and cross-sector interoperability.

Cloud Software as a Service

The Commission hosts the infrastructure tools and makes their services available through the cloud so that Public Administrations can use them without managing the underlying infrastructure.

Open Source Software

The Commission provides the infrastructure tools as open source software but in this case the Public Administration manages the underlying infrastructure.
