Paterson & Cooke (UK) Ltd. (P&C) is pleased to invite tenders for development of a web application to assist underground mines with selecting an optimal specification of backfill for filling of a particular stope in a mine reticulation system. This application will build on an existing prototype that has been constructed.

The scope of work would include:1. Carryout of a discovery phase to assess the existing working prototype and establish

what can re-used. 2. Production of a wireframe prototype design to assist with production specification

refinement. 3. Development of a detailed system design/specification building on that outlined in

this document. 4. Production of the web application utilising the front-end model developed to date (or

that that achieves the same outcome). 5. Support with ongoing modifications on an ad-hoc basis after role out.

Interested vendors should contact the below address to receive the tender specification and supporting material after completion of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

Tender responses must be received by 17:00pm (GMT) Tuesday 10th November 2020.

All queries and tenders to be sent to:[email protected]

Frequently asked Questionspackage such as Marvel, Invision, Adobe XD or similar. This is an image-based user experience design rather than a low fidelity code prototype.

• In regard to work package 5.1 (3) ‘Development of a detailed system design/specification

building on that outlined in this document’, this refers to production of the software design specification for the production phase. This will build on the specification already outlined in the tender document but capturing additional details from the completion of the discovery phase and wireframe prototype.

No specific format is stipulated for this element of the work package however it is envisaged that it will take a form similar to that outlined in Section 4.2 of the tender document (tables of specifications for the different application elements).

This updated specification will be used by both the developer and P&C to track progress and facilitate testing as production commences.

• In regard to testing of the application, P&C team members will be assigned for user/feature testing and to check that hydraulic calculations have been applied correctly. P&C will draw up a testing plan that will be shared with the developer during production.

It is expected separately that the developer will themselves undertake unit tests to verify their code is functioning as they intended as development progresses.
