    The location and this impressive house met our needs when we decided to move to Walmer with our young family forty years ago. The property offered ample parking, good transport links, excellent schools, and a local convenience store – handy if we ran out of milk! Our house has been updated over the many years, but still retains many original features, such as the parquet flooring to the hall and lounge, the cast iron radiators, Bakelite door handles and a servants call bell – unfortunately out of order these days! The dining room and lounge both lead out onto the Southerly facing patio and garden, which is mainly secure for children and/or pets. There have been many family gatherings in this area – leaving us with happy memories to treasure. The area in, and near, Marke Wood, offers abundant activities for all; scouting, sailings, tennis and croquet; plus the opportunity to join the coastal path or cycle way at the sea front to seek out other national treasures.
