David Bancro� is Chef and Owner of Acre Restaurant and Bow & Arrow in Auburn, Alabama. Born in Alabama and raised in San Antonio, TX, David Bancro� ’s passion for food began at an early age. Bancro� was heavily in� uenced by his grandparent’s cooking & farming practices, particularly drawing knowledge and inspiration from his grandfather who farmed ca� le, cat� sh, co� on and peanuts in South Alabama. Bancro� grew up eating some of the best cuisine the South has to o� er and parlayed his love of food & farming into a passion for cooking, inspired by his family’s approach to home-style dining.

Bancro� opened Acre restaurant with his wife, Christin in August 2013. Situated on a full acre of land, Acre reinterprets the rich heritage of Alabama cuisine. A 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 semi� nalist for the James Beard Foundation’s “Best Chef: South” award and winner of Food Network’s “Iron Chef Showdown” competition in 2017, Bancro� opened his second restaurant concept in Auburn, Bow & Arrow, in November 2018.

Rusty BowersThe Chop Shop, Pine Street Market | Atlanta, GA

Rusty Bowers is the owner, chief butcher and charcutier of Pine Street Market, a whole animal cra� butcher shop, and co-owner of Chop Shop, Atlanta’s � rst butcher and farmer-owned high-end retail store. A graduate of the renowned Culinary Institute of America, Rusty began his career as a classically-trained chef.

In 2008, Rusty traded his chef ’s coat for a butcher’s apron and launched Pine Street Market, a whole animal butcher shop specializing in the � nest quality charcuterie, artisan sausages, and a variety of fresh cuts of locally-sourced, humanely and sustainably raised pork, beef, lamb and poultry hand-cra� ed in small batches. A� er nearly a decade of growing Pine Street Market into a trusted source of humanely and ethically raised foods for the local community, Bowers had a vision of teaming up with a local farmer to improve access to the � nest quality artisan meats, farm fresh produce, and heritage grains.

In 2016, Bowers began working with Charlo� e and Wes Swancy of Riverview Farms in Ranger, Georgia to launch Chop Shop – Atlanta’s � rst butcher and farmer-owned high-end retail store, which opened in February 2019. Chop Shop o� ers heritage and artisan meats, farm fresh produce, hand-cra� ed cheeses, heritage grains, and a wide variety of specialty provisions, including brines, rubs, oils and much more.


Hugh Acheson5 & 10 | Athens, GA

Hugh Acheson is a chef and food writer who lives in Athens, GA. He is the co-owner / partner of the Athens, Georgia, restaurant 5&10, Atlanta restaurant Empire State South, as well as Atlanta co� ee shop Spiller Park Co� ee. His cookbook, A NEW TURN in the SOUTH won the award for Best Cookbook in the � eld of “American Cooking” by the James Beard Foundation in 2012. His second cookbook PICK a PICKLE, and his third, THE BROAD FORK, was released in the spring of 2015. His fourth cookbook, THE CHEF & THE SLOW COOKER, was released in the fall of 2017. Food & Wine Magazine named him Best New Chef way back in 2002 and the James Beard Foundation awarded him Best Chef Southeast in 2012. Hugh competed in Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, Season 3 and starred as a judge on Top Chef, Seasons 9 thru 13. Hugh currently has his own podcast, Hugh Acheson Stirs the Pot. He sits down with food personalities, entertainers and activists in restaurants and at kitchen tables across the country to talk about what they’re eating and what’s eating them. � e � rst episode dropped on February 6th of this year.

Kaley LairdThe Rhu, Rhubarb, Benne on Eagle | Asheville, NC

Accomplished Pastry Chef Kaley Laird brings her unique style and non-traditional culinary methods to the kitchen at Rhubarb. At just 31 years old, Laird boasts an impressive resume with more than 13 years of culinary experience.

Originally from Western New York, Laird’s interest in cooking was sparked as a young child decorating Christmas cookies with her mother. What began as a holiday tradition developed into a passion that allows Laird to combine her interests in math, science, art and business.

Laird honed her pastry skills at the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park Campus and graduated with an AOS Baking and Pastry Arts in 2007.

Laird is a classically trained French pastry chef with a distinct edge. She utilizes her experience with savory ingredients to broaden her repertoire of � avor combinations to create distinctly unique desserts using local, fresh and seasonal ingredients. Laird’s mo� o is “Flavor � rst. Just because a dish isn’t traditional, doesn’t mean it won’t be amazing.”

Michael KasperGam ble Family Vineyards, National Sales Manager

Michael brings more than 15 years of experience in super-premium wine sales to Gamble Family Vineyards, and most recently served as the Southeast Director of Sales for Napa-based John Anthony Vineyards. His extensive work experience includes roles as Southeast Division Manager for Hess Collection Winery, Vice President of Sales for Luna Vineyards in Napa, and Midwest Regional Sales Manager for TOG Wines, a Sebastiani Family wine brand. Prior to that, he held managerial sales positions with South America Wine Importers, Michael-David Winery, and Vin DiVino, a Chicago-based wine importer.

Michael, who is based in Miami Beach, Florida, oversees Gamble Family Vineyards’ sales and distribution throughout the United States, with the exception of California.

Laurence KorossPRIME Napa Valley, Lead Wine Educator

Laurence is the lead wine educator at PRIME Cellars, where his experience as a teacher has helped him create informative and enjoyable tasting experiences for guests visiting the Napa Valley wine region. Raised on the east coast, Laurence moved to Chicago as a young man to embark on a scholarly pursuit of philosophy, history, religion, and ancient languages.

A� er moving to Sacramento for his wife’s academic program, Laurence accepted an educational position for Napa County’s Health & Human Services. � en, a summer job in a winery changed everything. He enjoyed the experience so much he decided to leave his county job for full-time work in the wine industry. Since coming to PRIME Cellars, Laurence’s success has been unparalleled, and guests will o� en seek him out a� er reading the plethora of wonderful reviews he has inspired on social media circuits for his knowledge, passion, sense of humor, and hospitable warmth. He lives happily in Napa with his wife and two young children.


Shirley RoyROY Estate, Proprietor

Shirley Roy and her husband, the late Charles Roy were both born and raised on the East Coast. Charles was originally from Massachuse� s. He was a civil engineer and an architect. Shirley was born on Long Island and grew up in New Jersey. She is an accountant and a student of � ne food and wine. Together, they owned and operated executive suite businesses on the East Coast. During the 1980’s and 90’s they made many business trips to San Francisco and Northern California. � ey fell in love with Napa Valley.

In 1999, with the purchase of pro golfer Johnny Miller’s estate, they began new lives as vintners. With Charles’ untimely passing in 2010, Shirley is commi� ed to their vision.

Marika Vida-ArnoldCatena Zapata, Brand Ambassador

Over the past two decades, Marika Vida-Arnold has served as the Wine Director of the Ritz-Carlton Central Park, New York, Sommelier of the top-rated Laurent Tourondel Bistro, BLT Market, and Sommelier for the Philadelphia Ritz-Carlton with ‘Top Chef ’ winner Kevin Sbraga. She developed the opening wine program at 10Arts with Chef Eric Ripert and Chef Jennifer Carroll.

Her most recent project is the critically acclaimed Phenomenal Femmes Program, which focuses on female winemakers from around the globe. It has been featured in Bloomberg, Forbes, Haute Living, Gotham, � e Somm Journal, and Wine Enthusiast. She holds titles of Certi� ed Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and the American Sommelier Association. She is a Certi� ed Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators and holds the Advanced Certi� cate for the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Marika is currently a Wine Educator for the famed Argentine winery Catena Zapata and she is a member of the Full Circle Sommelier Network, working with Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein.
