Tropical Depressions

conditions or the ormation o tropical cyclones. Within the *T,/&

a series o lowpressure ripples begins to move rom east towest. These are 2nown as tropical waves. These waves contain

a northeast wind shit and interact with what is 2nown as a deep

layer easterly low& creating a convergence. This results in a low

pressure system. As a bac2lash o the convergence& a

divergence occurs 3ust ahead o the convergence& causing

northeasterly winds at gusts o up to '4 miles per hour.
