PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
We are a Catholic faith community who believes in God

LAS POSADAS—a Christmas celebration for
children and adults December 18, 19, 20 at 7:30 pm in St. Joseph
Chapel
Refreshments to follow in the Conference Center
Las Posadas is a tradition that is part of the celebration of
Christmas, but specifically
celebrates the journey of Mary and Joseph as they travel house
to house to find shelter in
Bethlehem for Jesus to be born.
Nativity Scenes are a classic tradition and are great to display
during
the Advent season. To make the display especially
poignant, wait until Christmas Eve to
place the Baby Jesus into the scene.
We invite you to bring the statues of the
Baby Jesus which will adorn your home Nativity Scenes to the
sacristy
after Mass to have them blessed.

Christmas Giving
This year we are requesting your help in providing for families
and
children who can use some assistance with Christmas gifts.
Instead of collecting toys or clothes for strangers, we are asking
you to donate GIFT CARDS which we will give to
families in need. In this way we preserve their dignity and
allow them
to buy what they really need, when they really need it.
This is totally anonymous giving. No one knows who gave what to
whom. If you are willing to help us, just drop
the gift cards in the collection basket on the weekends, and we
will
distribute hem. Anonymous generosity is the best kind!
