Dear 3ABN Family,Jill and I like to plant a vegetable garden each year, and over the past several

seasons, we’ve enjoyed planting sweet potatoes. As we watch the tender plants grow and send out their vines, we must wait patiently for what’s buried out of sight.

Then comes the harvest—my favorite part of gardening! It’s fun to dig into those mounds of dirt, turning the soil and uncov-ering those beautiful sweet potatoes. And once the harvest begins, it seems like there are sweet potatoes everywhere! That reminds me of when Jesus said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few.” Luke 10:2.

As I sit down to write this letter to you, our 3ABN Family members, I’m in awe of what God has done through the ministry of 3ABN. God gave Danny Shelton a vision 35 years ago, and he’s been patiently planting biblical truths and tending to the spiritual needs of millions for all these years.

As I take on my newly appointed responsibilities at 3ABN it’s easy to feel over-whelmed if I look at them through my human eyes. But all I must do is be a willing vessel—a gardener for souls.

The Bible reminds us, “So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.... For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.... But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:7, 9, and 11. It’s exciting to hear from people who have been watching and listening to 3ABN. I know the harvest has already begun, and God makes Himself responsible for the increase!

Thank you for joining 3ABN in proclaiming the gospel to all the world. What we cannot do alone, we can do together. With your help, we can bring in a great harvest for our Master and Savior, Jesus Christ!

A s 3ABN’s new president, Greg Morikone has taken the leadership responsibility for guiding this worldwide television and radio ministry which began 35 years ago when

Danny Shelton was impressed to “build a television station that would reach the world with the undiluted three angels’ messages—one that would counteract the counterfeit.” As we talked with him, Greg made it very clear that he is committed to following the vision God gave Danny back in 1984. “I want to stay true to that vision and not stray from it at all,” he says. “I know I’m not qualified, but God is; so to me, the key is total reliance upon Him. We are surrounded by a fantastic team and family of supporters, so we are blessed!”

Greg recalls his first day at 3ABN. “I walked on campus on September 27, 1999, as a college intern,” he says, “and I was scared to death! However, I was also excited because my family had been influenced by 3ABN’s ministry for many years. Back in the late 1980s, my parents were given a cassette tape of Danny telling the story of how God gave him the vision for 3ABN, and they were inspired by it. Then, we installed a satellite dish for a fellow church member, and they would often invite us over to their house on Sabbath to watch sermons and other programs they’d recorded off 3ABN.

“In the mid 1990s, my parents bought a used 10-foot satellite dish, and I remember digging the post hole when we installed it at our home in rural West Virginia. Finally, we had 3ABN for the first time! Danny was building their world headquarters at the time, so my sister and I grew watermelons and strawberries and sent them some of our earnings. I remember we got a little heart-shaped keychain that lit up, and also a music cassette as a thank you gift. 3ABN really meant a lot to our family.”

God’s PreparationAs Greg continues his story, it becomes clear that God prepared him for his presidency.

“I started in our original studio, running a camera and sweeping floors,” he says. “Then I was asked to join the 3ABN production truck team as they traveled all over the country.

I ran camera for them, then I switched to video, adjusting the colors on cameras and running the videotape recorders for the programs. After that, they needed

someone in lighting, so I worked there, too.

“Becoming president here was never my ambition, but it’s the responsibility God has given me now and I am humbled to be a part of this ministry. I want to do my best for Him.”

“But after Jill and I were married, I wanted to spend more time with her, so I asked to change positions and worked as a print shop supervisor for a couple of years.”

Next, Greg served as the Call Center man-ager for ten years before becoming 3ABN’s production manager.

“I can tell you that it is a blessing to have worked with so many great people at this ministry, and in so many different departments,” he says. “And what a blessing it was that my parents instilled in me what Ecclesiastes 9:10 says: ‘Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.’

“I was raised to believe that in life, you do whatever God gives you to do,” he adds, “but, quite frankly, it’s uncomfortable for me to talk about this because my life has never been about climbing the corporate ladder. Becoming president here was never my ambition, but it’s the responsibility God has given me now and I am humbled to be a part of this ministry. I want to do my best for Him.”

The Making of a TeamGreg met Jill in a college cafeteria, and when he saw her, he had the thought that she

would one day be his wife. “During our freshman year, we became the best of friends, and I respected him highly,” she says. “I double majored in English and history, and minored in education; and when college was over, I taught English and Bible in Washington State.” They kept in touch through letters, started a long-distance relationship, and several years later, he proposed and they married. “I always tell people that I moved here because of the man, but stayed here for the mission,” Jill says. “You see, Greg had a long history with 3ABN—watching it as a young man and even raising funds for building projects. But I had only heard of the ministry. But when I got here, I fell in love with 3ABN’s evangelistic mission! This ministry touches people around the world. People get to know Jesus, accept the truth, and go through a life-changing experience because of it. To think that I can have some sort of part in it is incredible!”

For the first few months, Jill worked for 3ABN’s vice president and general manager, Mollie Steenson, as her admin-istrative assistant. Then she felt led to work at the Thompsonville Christian School teaching music, which she did for ten years. “During that time, I trav-eled with Greg to all sorts of events, and volunteered at the 3ABN booth,” she says. “I also volunteered to host cooking programs and other things for 3ABN. During those years, Mollie would talk to me from time to time and ask if I would consider coming back to work for 3ABN, and I would tell her that God had called me to work with the kids at the school. However, I like to say that there are seasons in life, and after eight years of teaching, I’d be giving a piano lesson and be thinking about this min-istry across the street. I’d think about how the gospel was going out, and the evangelism that was taking place; and

it didn’t matter to me what I did, I just wanted to be a part of spreading the gospel. I believe God dropped that burning desire into my heart to work at 3ABN, so I shared that with Greg, and he said, ‘Let’s pray about it.’ We’ve never felt it our place to ask for things, but that God would unfold those things if it was His will.

“At that point, Mollie had asked me several times, and Greg said she probably wouldn’t ask me again, so we prayed about it for two years, and then, one day, while I was in Mollie’s office, she said, ‘Jill, you know my dream for this ministry has always been for you to sit in this seat when I retire, because I believe God wants you here. But I know you’re going to tell me no.’ So I think I really surprised her when I said yes,” Jill laughs.

Soon she began working as 3ABN President Jim Gilley’s administrative assistant and when he retired in 2015 and Danny came back as president, she worked as his administrative assistant, too.

“Danny was a great boss,” Jill says. “He’s honest, authentic, fair, principled, and lives a life of integrity. I still remember him discussing something with me and then asking, ‘What do you think we should do?’ I was shocked that he really wanted to know, but I finally said, ‘I think we should do it this way,’ and that’s what he said to

do. He began asking how I would handle a situation more often, and he really gave me incredible freedom.”

It wasn’t long before Danny began talking to Greg and Jill about his goal of having them take on more leadership responsibilities for the future, and they were both surprised.

“When Mollie retired at the end of 2017, I stepped into her position,” Jill says, “and what a tremendous responsibility, since Mollie handled day-to-day operations and knew this ministry inside and out. But although I knew I could never fill her shoes, I knew my job was to be who God called me to be.”

Greg agrees. “During that time, I’d been asked to serve on 3ABN’s board of directors, and then was appointed a general vice president,” he says. “But when Danny brought up the presidency, it was scary, humbling, and overwhelming. Like Jill, I didn’t feel qualified, but I was reminded that if I’d submit myself to the Lord, all things would be possible.

“Earlier this year, Danny talked to the board about stepping away as president,” Greg continues, “but they decided to wait. Then, just before our board meeting last September, he and Yvonne said they felt impressed to bring a motion to the board to appoint me as president.”

Staying True to the Vision“It’s been a wonderful journey of learning to depend on Jesus,” Jill says. “We know

that He possesses wisdom, provides for this ministry when finances are short, and shows us how to get the gospel to the world because that’s His heart, too. The mission of 3ABN is the mission of Jesus—to proclaim the gospel to the world. I’m so grateful to work in ministry alongside my husband. We talk things over, pray about them, and then move forward with a decision. Greg and I are so grateful that Danny is still part of our executive team and that he’s available for mentorship at any time.

“Every day I’m amazed at the incredible team God gave us. Creative, gifted, orga-nized—anything that’s needed to make the ministry go forward, we have right here in our people. But gifted people mean nothing without a dedication to our mission. We are family. We pray together, cry together, and work together for the same purpose. But we wouldn’t exist without our extended 3ABN family of viewers and supporters. They are the lifeblood of this ministry, and because of them, the gospel goes to the world.”

Greg concludes, “Our vision doesn’t change because God doesn’t change. However, the way it’s delivered will keep changing because although we cover the world, there are many who have never heard the gospel and know nothing about 3ABN. We will continue to look at new ways to reach more people with the truth of the gospel.”

A s we read your letters or speak to you on the phone we're always amazed

how the Lord ministers to such a variety of people. From those who are bedridden or have physical difficulties, to those who are in prison or are hearing about Jesus for the first time, we're humbled to see how 3ABN ministers to you.

A viewer in Lakewood, New Jersey writes, “I'm a long-time Seventh-day Adventist and have been a member of the “Blessing Is on the “GO!” movement ever since I found 3ABN. I'm aware of the attacks the enemy launches against those who love Jesus, and especially those who tell others about Him. However, the Holy Spirit has blessed my use of the “On the “GO!” materials and my love for Jesus to bring three precious loved ones to Christ. I am battling cancer now and am bedrid-den, so all of you have become my church family. I thank you for what you do.”

Another viewer emails, “I just want to say a heartfelt thank you for the closed captioning on your network programs. How wonderful it is to be able to watch and understand the Word of God in Bible stud-ies and church services, and to pick up great

I see the testimony of the love God wants reflected among you, and I think the 3ABN Family shows an example of how our Heavenly Family will be—everyone will be friends and brothers! I was also impressed with the testimony of marriages you show, especially when I see the programs featur-ing Danny and Yvonne, the Lomacangs, the Morikones, and the Quinns. It has taught me that God’s plan for relationships is good and true, in spite of the world’s teachings. You all are a great example to me. Thank you again for the information your network brings into this lost and dying world: a testimony that God has better plans!”

A viewer in Ridgecrest, California says, “Thank you for your inspiring Spring Camp Meeting programs. The backdrops on the stage for some of the programs were quite good and brought to mind how close we are to our Lord’s Second Coming. We are so grateful for Danny Shelton’s straight talk. I am giving out Spiritual Vigilantes and want to learn more about the Ten Commandments Twice Removed book.”

From Bowling Green, Ohio, we received this letter, saying, “I love all your radio programs throughout the day—the inspirational, as well as the educational! And please continue to play your music, as it heals the heart of widows such as myself. It soothes my soul, relaxes me, and through God’s Word expressed in music, comforts me to sleep. I feel like my Heavenly Father is with me.”

A note from one of our 3ABN Call Center Customer Service Represen-tative says, “Pearl, from Michigan, and another viewer named Terrance both gave their hearts to Jesus for the first time during Danny’s final presentation at 3ABN’s Spring Camp Meeting this year! I also heard from another viewer who rededicated her life to God. Praise the Lord!”

An inmate from Chowchilla, Califor-nia writes, “Mere words are inadequate to express the depth of my appreciation for the rich treasure that is my new Bible. Praise God, I’m so excited! I had been praying for this Bible, and it’s perfect! It’s even my favorite color! I can hardly wait to prayer-fully read it. You’ve taken time out of your lives to give inmates like me self-worth and encouragement from God’s kingdom!”

And finally, a viewer sent us an email that says, “Recently, my antenna began picking up your channel, and I like your message so much more than the other church programming I used to watch. Thank you for spreading the gospel through honest and wholesome programming.”

From the beginning, Three Angels Broadcasting Network has been a pow-erful tool in spreading the gospel. Without a doubt, the three angels’

But we’re excited to say that, in the history of the world, there certainly have never been greater opportunities to share those messages than today! In fact, just last month, 3ABN Latino was involved in 187 simultaneous evangelistic sites in the Dominican Republic, where hundreds of souls commit-ted their lives to Christ!

Your financial support makes a difference here at home, too. Because of you, Larry found 3ABN on a station in Minnesota. As he hit bottom with his relationship and finances, he desperately searched for something to watch and came upon our programs. They intrigued him and he couldn’t get the things he heard out of his mind. One day he found himself in the religious section of a local bookstore, looking for something to read when he found a book called, The Great Controversy. But when he tried to buy it, the clerk couldn’t get it to scan—in fact, the book wasn’t even part of the store’s inventory!

Larry went home with his new (free) book and loved it so much he decided to buy more copies. While he was ordering them, a friend asked him about it, and then decided he wanted a copy, too! Today, both these men are baptized mem-bers of their local Seventh-day Adventist Church and they’re on fire to share what they’ve discovered with others! All this started because you cared and gave to 3ABN’s ministry.

DIRECTIONS1. Place bread on baking tray, spray with a little oil and bake at 200º F for 30–40 minutes,

or until dry.2. Sauté onion and celery in a little oil. Add apples, fresh herbs, crushed red pepper, and

cinnamon. Cover and simmer about 5 minutes.3. Add maple syrup and lemon juice, then simmer another minute or two.4. Add almonds and cherries to bread pieces, then mix in sautéed onion and celery.5. Place in oil-sprayed baking dish and pour broth over the top. Bake at 350º F for 30–40

minutes, or until hot.
