Dear 3ABN Family,What an incredible year this has been! God is using 3ABN as a beacon on a

hill to proclaim His final warning message to a lost and dying world through television, radio, satellite, the Internet, music, and the printed word—and we couldn’t do it without you!

We had a Spirit-filled 3ABN camp meeting last June which brought people from all across America and even overseas to worship with us as we focused on God’s Law of Love and Liberty!

June also marked the largest production of new, contemporary, and inno-vative children’s programming since we began broadcasting. With the help of many volunteers and over 50 children, we recorded 110 programs in just four days! It took months of planning, set design, and construction to make it all happen, but I know you’ll enjoy the coming months as you watch these new Bible gems of programming designed to bring young people into a closer walk with Jesus. But there was more! That same month, we also teamed up with Amazing Facts and the Michigan Conference to produce live broadcasts of the Amazing Adventures for Kids series with Pastor Doug Batchelor!

I am amazed at what God has done through the ministry of 3ABN, in spite of us. Not one of us is wor-thy to work in His vineyard, yet He loves us enough to allow us frail human agents to play a part in telling the world about Jesus and His redemptive power! Over the past 34 years of ministry I’ve learned to try not to get in the Lord’s way as He performs miracle after miracle to reach people around the world with the three angels’ messages during these closing moments of earth’s history.

I want to say a special thank you to each of you who support 3ABN prayer-fully and financially. Because of your support, thousands and thousands of people will be caught up in the air to meet Jesus when He says, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21. My hope and prayer is each of you will join our 3ABN evangelistic team to “Go ye into all the world.”

August 24 marks the sixteenth anniversary for 3ABN Latino, and God continues to do a great work—yes, a miraculous work! Every day, the lives of thousands upon

thousands of people are changing as they watch 3ABN Latino Network’s Christ-cen-tered programming.

I’m happy to report that 3ABN Latino can now be viewed on over 1,300 cable systems; on over 30 television stations in the United States, Mexico, Spain, Nicaragua, Great Britain, and nearly island-wide in Puerto Rico. In addition, you can also stream 3ABN Latino on our 3ABN.tv website, on YouTube, and on many Internet-based systems like mySDAtv, Apple TV (via the mySDAtv app), Roku, Truli, Vision TV in Great Britain, and our 3ABN App for tablets and smartphones.

It is an undeniable fact that lives are being transformed by the Holy Spirit. Let me tell you about a letter we received from Mario. He wrote to us saying that he was raised as a Roman Catholic, but had not attended church for over 25 years. In fact, he felt he was more of an atheist than a Christian. But when he had cable TV installed in his home in Monterrey, Mexico, he found 3ABN Latino and began to watch.

“From the second day I had cable in my home, 3ABN Latino has been my #1 channel,” he writes. “Ninety percent of the time, I’m tuned to your channel and 3ABN Latino has changed my life. I was Catholic, but I never had the light of truth that is in our heavenly Father’s Word. The way the Word is preached and reflected on 3ABN Latino is something marvelous and it fills my heart with light.”

GOD’S STATION IN MANAGUASometime back, I made an announcement that went something like this, “It began

about ten years ago, but it’s finally on the air!” I was speaking about a construction permit for a TV station given to Pastor David Murillo in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. Later, when we presented this project to you, your donations totaled about $200,000, making it clear that the Lord wanted us to move forward with the purchase of a tower, an antenna, and equipment to produce programs in a small studio, as required by laws. However, by order of the Nicaraguan president, all new radio and TV stations were put on hold and could not go on the air unless he approved them!

For the next ten years, Pastor Murillo went to TELCOR, Nicaragua’s telecom-munications regulatory offices every week to ask if the documents

had been signed for channel 45 to go on the air, but the answer he received repeatedly was, “Not yet.” Then finally, a breakthrough came, and on December 17, 2017, we received permission to put the station on the air! How grateful we were to the leadership of the Central Nicara-guan Mission of Seventh-day Adventists for when they allowed us put our antenna on their tower; but how sad we were when that tower

collapsed this past February! However, our God turned that tragedy into a blessing, and by the time you read this article, channel 45 will be back on the air once again—this time on our own tower, with even more power to reach more people for Jesus in the city of Managua! Our challenge now is to produce local programming, as required by law, so we ask for your prayers and financial support for this ongoing effort. But there’s even more good news! Our license allows us to put in repeater stations in other cities, allowing us to cover the entire nation! Praise the Lord!

EVEN MORE EVANGELISMLast year, 3ABN Latino organized an evangelistic

series in Cali, Colombia, bringing volunteer pastors and members to making baptismal appeals to viewers and visitors at each of the 87 sites across the city. And this year, by God’s grace, a dedicated group of volunteer preachers who are paying their own expenses will be joining us from October 19–26 at 189 evangelistic sites in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic! We’ve already registered volunteers from the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, and even as far away as Australia, but we still need more. Please pray for God to use each speaker to honor and glorify His name.

3ABN Latino has been available on cable in Santo Domingo for about ten years, and many of our viewers have come to Christ, becoming members of the church. But I believe Jesus would once again say, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Luke 10:2. Your prayers are urgently needed so we can have a speaker at each of those sites. If the Holy Spirit impresses you to do even more, please consider a financial gift to help purchase Bibles, soul winning literature, or help cover the expenses of our team to coordinate this massive evangelistic effort. God wants to do a great work in Santo Domingo—yes, a miraculous work!

How It All Began

impressed him to “build a television sta-tion that would reach the world with the undiluted three angels’ messages”?

Danny was only too willing, and after he spoke, many people stopped by the little makeshift booth Kay Kuzma had arranged for him, featuring music cassettes he and his daughter Melody had recorded. Then God moved on a lovely couple’s heart and they bought two cassette tapes, writing out a check for $10,000—the exact amount needed to pour the cement floor!

3ABN became a member and strong supporter of ASI, and in 1998, our brand-new television production truck rolled off on its maiden voyage, heading to Palm Springs, California, to broadcast our first-ever ASI Convention! We’ve been blessed and happy to continue doing so ever since.

Business UnusualThis year’s ASI Convention theme is

“Business Unusual,” and will be broadcast from Louisville, Kentucky. “We are living in a unique time in history—the time of the end—and we have been given a unique call, to spread the Three Angels’ Messages to the world,” says the ASI website. “Our unusual place in history requires unusual action, unusual commitment, and unusual focus.”

Since we also share this goal, one can see why 3ABN and ASI work so closely with each other and with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

after praying and trusting the Lord for a clear direction, his phone rang, again.

“I was just thinking,” Dale said. “You need an answer to prayer, so why shouldn’t I be that answer? I’ll buy your plane tick-ets, pay for your hotel, and give you money for food while you’re there.”

God Moves Through a CloudAfter Danny arrived, it wasn’t long before

convention-goers were buzzing with the news of a new Seventh-day Adventist tele-vision network. He was asked many times if he would be speaking and he responded that he’d be happy to, but had not been asked. An ASI committee member who overheard him clarified that the program schedule had been planned out for a year and there would be no opportunity for him to speak. Besides, he added, ASI didn’t know anything about him and had not vetted his ministry.

Danny understood, but the Lord had other plans. The weather had been beau-tiful all week and the schedule was open that Friday afternoon so people could enjoy golf, a hike, or a ski lift ride up the moun-tain. However, a cloud had settled in that morning, and by the afternoon it unleashed torrential rains, canceling all outdoor activities. ASI leaders, now scrambling to organize something for the afternoon, unexpectedly approached Danny. Would he be willing to share how the Lord had

The story of 3ABN’s relationship with ASI is a fascinating example of how

the Lord provides. It all began in 1985 as young Danny Shelton and his brothers were about to complete the shell of our first headquarters and studio. The next step would be to pour the concrete for the building, but that would cost $10,000 they simply didn’t have.

An Unexpected InvitationOne day, Danny’s telephone rang. It was

Dale McBride calling from California, say-ing he’d heard about 3ABN from a friend, and would like to invite him to share his story at the ASI Convention, to be held at the Big Sky Ski Resort in Montana.

Danny admitted honestly that he didn’t know what ASI was, so Dale explained: “It stands for Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries, an organization of Seventh-day Adventist laymen who have businesses or self-supporting ministries. We meet together to discuss how to more effectively present Christ in our businesses and help with various worthy projects.”

“That sounds very interesting,” Danny said, “but we don’t have the money to fly to Montana. And where would we stay?”

“They have places for about $65 a night, and we think you should stay all week.”

Thanking him for the invitation, Danny promised to pray about it and go, if the Lord provided the funds. Later that day,

blessed employees at 3ABN’s ministry. Here are just a few of the encouraging responses to 3ABN’s programming in the past few weeks.

Blessed by Camp MeetingOur Call Center sent us the following

message: “Terrance gave his heart to the Lord while watching our Spring Camp meeting, and another lady named Twilight left a message saying she decided to give her life back to Jesus! We’re praising the Lord and trying to connect her with a local Seventh-day Adventist church.”

Another one says, “Pearl gave her heart to Jesus for the first time tonight during Danny’s final presentation at Camp Meet-ing. We are getting her in contact with a local church. She says she loves Danny and all the 3ABN presenters this year. Praise the Lord!”

A message, from Shauna, says, “The speakers! The music! The testimonies! The Holy Spirit! What a blessing to have been a part of this revival event. I will make plans to attend camp meeting next year. Thank God that Jesus is coming back for His people. I can’t wait to see you all there. God Bless 3ABN!’”

Finally, Barbara emailed us to say, “This camp meeting was the best yet. It really touched my heart. I thank God for all of you every day in my morning prayers. God bless you.”

As Jesus describes how He will separate the righteous from the wicked, He utters these words, laden with meaning: “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’” Matthew 25:34–36.

We have not turned a deaf ear to the lonely cries of the incarcerated, and through the years, we’ve responded to their requests for Bibles, study guides, and other Christian literature. But once we began purchasing and sending Study Bibles, the response was overwhelming! On average, our pastoral team receives around 230 letters requesting a Study Bible each week—that’s over 11,000 Bibles a year! In addition, we receive well over 16,000 letters a year thanking us for their Bibles, and often asking for more Christian literature.

Since most prisoners’ families stop visiting and writing after five years, their letters are heartbreaking; but our four full-time employees respond to them faithfully, answering their Bible questions, giving encouragement, and reminding them that they are precious in God’s eyes.

“Thank you from the bottom of my soul for the Bible you sent me,” writes an inmate. “I have never had a nice Bible before, and I will treasure it always.” Another says, “My life has been filled with so much pain, loss, tragedy, abuse, and dysfunction. I’ve been so lost and hopeless. I never knew what love was, and I surely never knew the love of Jesus. I’m only learning by blind faith, getting saved, and by studying my Bible. I’m a mess, but my life is changing!”

With such large demand for Study Bibles, our funds are often depleted, but we step out in faith and order more, believing God’s people will support prison ministry. DIRECTIONS1. Shred mushroom stems vertically with a fork.2. In an iron skillet, sauté onions in ¼ cup of water over medium-high heat until onions
