This remains God’s church and we praise Him for that. Looking forward to 2015 we should rededicate ourselves to serving God through the ministries of First Baptist Church. munion here at First Baptist Church at 7 PM. Celebrate Jesus—

the real meaning of Christmas!

CHILDREN’S CHOIRS Our preschool choirs wowed us with the cutest songs about

Jesus’ birth. The Music Makers and Young Musicians Choirs

did an awesome job with their presentation of “An Unplugged

Christmas”. The sanctuary was full of folks who enjoyed the

music and drama our children presented. Take a moment to

share your appreciation for their great leaders: Erin Timmons,

Mildred Betts, Dian Bruce, JoAnn Moore, Pam Ward, April

Aldridge. They always do a great job!

SAINTS ALIVE CHOIR Dec. 22 Plans are still on to depart church at 9 a.m. on the

bus to Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. Concert at 10. Then,

travel to Mablewood Personal Care Home, 207 Kemp Road,

MERRY CHRISTMAS

My family and I would like to wish each of you a very, merry

Christmas. So many of you have been a blessing to us in just

the few short months that we have been in Bainbridge and at

First Baptist. We are still learning our way around and

becoming more familiar with a new place, but in the midst of

the unfamiliarity we have found a place to call home and

people to call family. So thank you for welcoming us here and

we look forward to 2015 and many more years after that!!

STRENGTH TO STAND

The Strength to Stand student conference is just under 4 weeks

away. The theme for the weekend is reNOWn. This is going

to be a great weekend to get away and spend time together and

in God’s Word.. Parents, please remember that if your student

is attending the Strength to Stand student conference in

January that the balance for the tip is due by Sunday January

4th. Also, there will be a meeting on that day for all parents

and students attending the conference at 3:30 in the youth

building.

PARENT MEETING

Parent, also mark your calendar for January 11. We have a

parent meeting planned for this day. We will meet in the youth

building following the 11:00 service for lunch and then a short

meeting together to discuss the next few months and events

that our students will have coming up.

Blessings,

Jeff

Can you help with taxes? We are planning a trip to Clarkston, GA over the last weekend of

January to assist refugees with their income taxes. I am looking for

any person that is willing to train online over the Christmas and New

Year's holidays and be ready to do 4 hours more on Saturday, January

24, to become a certified volunteer with the IRS VITA program.

Although some familiarity with taxes is helpful, it is not a requirement.

Please pray and let me know ASAP if this may be an area where you

are able to serve.

Searching for YOU! Do you have a love for missions? Do you like to be silly? Are you

crafty or even slightly so? If you answered yes to any one of these,

you would make a most excellent Mission Friends teacher! Mission

Friends is our Wednesday night program for ages 3-5 from 7-7:45 pm.

We need TWO individuals interested in serving from January to May.

Please let me know if you are interested!

AWANA is collecting TRAVEL ITEMS The AWANAs are collecting travel size toiletry items for the Baptist

Friendship House in New Orleans, LA. Please drop any donation off

at the church office.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Remember, Jesus is the reason!
