Dameans participate on Earthquake Drill 2015 The faculty and staff of NDDU – IBED Espina Campus conducted an Earthquake Drill at the school grounds on August 5, 2015 which aims to ensure the safety of pupils, students, faculty and staff during and after a damaging earthquake. The said annual activity was participated by all pupils and students of the school. Lead by _______________________________, the ___________, The participants were taught of the basics of the “Duck, Cover And Hold” principle and of the evacuation by following predetermined routes to identified evacuation areas as laid down in the school’s Developed Earthquake Evacuation Plan. An active response from the participants was received by the Organizers of the Earthquake Drill 2015. However, there were still a few who are disinterested because of the usual belief that no strong earthquakes shall hit Philippines especially General Santos City due to their strategic geographical locations. But the organizers reiterated that it is better to be prepared than to know nothing on what to do when the calamity strikes.
