A Note from Bill Look, Deacon Chairman …

In Corinthians 5:17 Paul reveals how we are transformed by accepting Christ. The indwelling of

the Spirit causes us to be renewed not just initially, but anytime we accept the influence of the

Spirit. It is part of the promise of salvation.

We are not the only thing made new or renewed on this planet.

This temporary home was provided with food and water, day and night, and one season sliding

into the gray winter and another exploding with abundant, colorful life.

We call that season of renewal “Spring”.

It is no coincidence that Spring will also be the time of renewal at Crestview. As we welcome

Pastor Cain into our family, we will become renewed as individuals and as a body of believers.

All this, while remembering the sacrifice that was made for all of us this Easter season.

Only God could cause events, so perfectly matched, to be so perfectly timed.

Prayerfully,

Bill

AS I write this newsletter article, I can feel the anticipation building as we prepare

for Pastor Tim to start filling in the pulpit during the month of April. I am excited to

see what he brings to the table, and I look forward to helping him cast the vision for

Crestview as we prepare to move forward!

For youth ministry news, we are prepping to sell flowers and concessions for Miss

Leslie’s Dance Recital again this coming year for our trip to MFUGE this coming

summer. Once I have the dates for those, I will pass those along to you. We have

also had a few of our students decide that they could not go to camp this summer,

so we have a couple extra spots. If your student(s), or a friend of a student would

still like to go, please let me know as soon as possible. We have to drop those spots

before May 1st so that we don’t have to pay the extra fee, and I would love to sell them off to people who want to

go!

Secondly, with Wednesday night attendance being low for most of the school year, we are going to reevaluate that

program and begin looking at what we could do differently to meet the needs of our students. If you have any

questions, please don’t hesitate to get a hold of me.

Lastly, I just want to thank you all for the opportunity to help fill the pulpit over the last year and a half. It truly

has been a journey and a growth experience for myself, and I hope that you were filled and grew with me during

this journey. Let’s continue to work and build when Pastor Tim comes.

Reach One, Teach One,

Ricky

Paul did not just want to know Christ intimately; he wanted to be just like him in every way. We wanted to have the power of the resurrection in his life, share in Christ’s suffering, die like him and be resurrected like him. Christ grabbed Paul so that he could make him into his very image. Special Thanks to My Crestview Family:

Dear Ladies of the Crestview Women’s Ministry, Thank you so much for all

of the goodies enclosed in my Valentine basket. It was a blessing.

Lillian Martin

Dear Crestview Church Family, Thank you so much for all the prayers, cards,

food, flowers and all your sympathy during the hospitalization and death of

Michael W. Faulkner. Eileen Faulkner and Family

Dear Church Family, Words cannot express my emotions and thankfulness for your love and support. All of the

food, calls and the funeral meal provided after Charles death were so helpful. Thank you to all who were a part of

caring for us. Your expressions of sympathy through; flowers, cards, and acts of kindness was so comforting to

me. Please continue to pray as we deal with our grief over the loss of husband, father, and grandfather, while

clinging to the comfort of our Lord’s promises. Thank you, Lillian Martin

Dear Crestview Church Family, We were so blessed as you shared your love with Helen’s family, including us.

We knew how much she loved her church family, and your outpouring of concern and support showed us why that

love was so deep. Thank you for the delicious meal and for making us feel “so cared for”. We know Helen is with

Jesus but will be missed in her earthly ministry here. We pray for you. Martha & Bernie Young (first cousin to

Helen Millsaps)

Dear Women’s Ministry & Crestview Family, Thank you so much for the basket of food, the prayers and visits

from the church during Jim’s stay in the hospital and his death. He loved Crestview so much as well as myself. I

pray for all of you. God Bless you, Love Dolly Edwards

Dear Crestview Family, Bob and I would like to thank you so much for the basket full of goodies we received at

Valentine’s Day, so many useful items. We appreciated it so much. Special thanks to the ones who filled it for us.

Love in Christ, Bob & Ruby Hood

Thank you to the choir, for your prayers and encouraging words, after the “going home” of my husband and

Eileen’s son, Mike. It wasn’t how we wanted things to go but we know God had all in hand. I’m so glad to be

part of the family of God. God Bless, Verna Faulkner & the Mike Faulkner Family

Dear Crestview Family: There are no words that will ever convey our gratitude for the many expressions of love that have been poured out upon our family through the loss of our precious mom and grandmother. You have blessed our lives with treasured joys that have shown us God’s grace; tears of comfort, phone calls of love, provision of food; and through the outpouring of cards and notes of encouragement you’ve shared our loss.

The beautiful planter in memory of mom was so appreciated. A special thank you to Sue Wieneke, the Funeral Dinner Committee, and those that provided food after the service; your generosity in giving of your time was felt and touched by so many.

Mom absolutely loved her church (55+ years) and the people of Crestview! No one will ever know the value she placed on greeting people, handing out bulletins and giving hugs! Funny as it seems, she even stopped people if they started by her before she had the chance to hug them! Mom was loved by ALL!

Thank you for supporting us, being available to us, and beyond, loving us. As a family we have a firm hope that our precious mom is with the Lord, but we are human, and don’t hide our grief or the loss our hearts feel. Our Lord believed, as we should, that we are healed of grief only when we express it to the full.

Our love to all – Patti Millsaps, Terri, Rick, Ricky & Samuel Murray, Glenn, Carole Jean, Jared & Zachary Mollette

We will find out things like "the Goal for this Year in the Great Lakes Region" also our "Dayton Area Goal" and other information that will be helpful. I am really looking forward to seeing you on Monday Evening. This will be the first meeting for 2017. Quarterly meetings will be held at other churches over the year. Call or leave a message on my cell phone, 937-231-1830 if you know you can come and if you're not sure then please come on and join us. We are all Team Members as we work together for OCC. In Christ's Love, Jean Hissong

I know that it seems a long way off, but Vacation Bible School

will be here before we know it. We are planning on having a

meeting in April to get information into worker’s hands so

that they can begin now looking at their curriculum, planning

decorations, and praying for the children that they will come

into contact with. If you are not plugged in yet, but still have a

desire to work, please connect up with myself or Sue Wieneke. I

truly believe that God wants to bless us as a church and bring in more children than

we can imagine to hear the Gospel, but we need workers to help support and pray for

that! And thank you for those of you who have come back to work again from last

summer! You truly are a blessing!

Ricky
