Chemistry & Biochemistry BAE
(119 credits)
Why study Chemistry Education/Secondary Level?
Other Degree Options
Chemistry is often referred to as the central science because of the way that it brings together mathematics, physics and computer science with biology, medicine, environmental science, forensic science, and earth science. It can involve either basic or applied studies in the broad areas of physical, organic, analytical, inorganic, or biochemistry. Understanding chemistry is fundamental to understanding the physical world around us. The BAE Option is primarily designed for those who want to go into secondary chemistry education. It provides specific training in education methods for chemistry that will strengthen the qualifications of future teachers while still providing ample technical expertise in the field of chemistry.
