Unlike our standard coating for stone (which is a water based topographical coating) this coating is designed to penetrate deep into the structure of the stone. After it has become established in the stone it provides massive protection against abrasion, and water ingress.Specifi cally developed for mineral based surfaces such as sandstone, limestone, travertine, concrete, pavers and brickwork.

The coating will remain highly effective for at least 10-20 years. This coating can be used on fl oors.It is primarily designed as an anti-weathering coating for stone which signifi cantly impedes and water ingress. On some stone (normally dense stone such as marble and granite) the coating offers additional stain resistant characteristics. Testing is always recommended before large scale application. It should not be applied to wet or moist stone. Optimum performance is established after drying for 24hrs at approximately 20C°.

Although the coating is not designed specifi cally to be an anti-graffi ti coating it does offer anti-graffi ti characteristics in that it prevents deep penetration of most graffi ti agents and it allows for easier removal and it limits the degree of post graffi ti “shadowing”. Permanent Protector (e.g. Corrosion Protection)Penetrative Liquid Glass protection for stone

This is a highly advanced SiO² coating which was created to address the needs of the marine, military and aerospace sectors. It is massively resistant to corrosion, abrasion and temperature. It can be applied to metal, plastic, powder coated and painted substrates. The coating can be heat cured, or cured at ambient temperature. ALGT© Metal Permanent reacts with the substrates surface and forms an abrasion resistant coating with very high bonding properties on metal. It generates thin, transparent coatings with high impact strength and is resistant to alkali, abrasion and corrosion.

This technology is specifi cally designed for coating surfaces such as fatigued paintwork or tarnished stainless steel. The liquid combines a light abrasive within an emulsion based polish matrix. The abrasive agents clean and restore the surface, whilst the coating agents create a bright and durable hydrophobic surface. Simply wipe on and wipe off. Ideal for cleaning and protecting surfaces on yachts, public transport or any area where the substrate is in need enhanced deep cleaning before application.

Unlike our standard coating for wood (which is a water based topographical coating) this coating is designed to penetrate into the structure of the wood. This coating can be used on fl ooring and marine decking. It is suitable for all kinds of wood which has not previously been coated with varnish or other stain resistant additives. It will not alter the natural look of wooden surfaces, yet it provides a highly durable timber coating which protects the wood from water ingress, salts, mould and algae. The coating will also reduce the rate of discoloration due to oxidation.

Unlike our standard coating this SiO² based polish is an emulsion. The coating is very easy to apply and it withstands high levels of soiling and abrasion. Simply wipe on and buff off. This polish contains particles that are much smaller than a regular polish, thus enabling it penetrate deeper into the structure of the surface.

So what does Nano mean?A nanometer is a unit of measurement.1nm (nanometer) is one billionth of a metre.The name “Nano” comes from the Greek “Nanos” which means dwarf.

Does our liquid glass contain any potentially harmful “nano” particles?No. Our coatings are recognised as being particle free. Our technology is based on molecular SiO2, which is created via an adaptation of the Sol-Gel process.

Why can´t you see our treatment?Our thinnest coatings are approximately 100nm thick.This means that they are approximately 500 times thinner than the a human hair and you need to use an electron microscope to see the coatings.

So what exactly does the product contain?This truly amazing product contains pure, particle free, SiO2 (Silicon Dioxide) which means that it contains “pure glass”.The glass is in a molecular form and is held in a liquid; it does not become “glass” until it is allowed to dry.The glass in windows is not pure!

So how does the nano coating work and what are the benefits?The liquid glass coating is a highly durable, flexible, super smooth, breathable and Super Phobic coating (=repels oil , water, and dry soiling). Dry dirt will not stick to treated as each filament of every fibre is protected with a nano scale layer of glass. Most significantly,almost all treated surfaces can be cleaned with water alone.This means that in most instances environmentally damaging cleaning chemicals are not needed.

How long will the protection last?Every environment is different as some living spaces encounter heavy usage whilst others encounter far less “wear and tear.” The treatments are all very durable and they will last for many months or even years.We expect the hard surface coatings to last for at least 6 months in domestic environments.

Can the treatments be re applied?Re application follows the format used during the initial application process; simply make sure that the surface is completely clean , dry and free of contaminants such as washing powder residue, or detergents. Please read the section relating to “application”.

Are the LIQUIGLAS® coatings “food safe”?All of our coatings have been tested by independent agencies and are food safe.

Are the LIQUIGLAS® coatings dermatologically tested?All of our products are subjected to dermatological testing.

Will hot water remove the coating?

The coatings are heat tolerant in the range -150°C to +450°C.Some plastic surfaces are very hydrophobic (repel liquids). Shoe on to the surface of your footwear you will be protecting the surface with a undetectable, super durable, stain repelling layer of pure nano scale glass. Ideal for use on training shoes, fabric basket ball shoes, suede shoes, non coated/polished leather, handbags etc. The multi award winning technology is easy to apply. Firstly ensure that the surface is completely clean as the coating will not adhere to any form of dirt, or grease.The coating can be applied to moist fabrics. Is the coating removed after washing in auto car washes?All LIQUIGLAS® coatings are highly durable and they will withstand numerous washing cycles.This would equate to over a hundred washing cycles with water and a micro fibre. It is not possible to provide exact information about the number of auto wash cycles that the coating will withstand but test data indicates that the coating withstands many tens of auto wash cycles.

Does road salt degrade the coating?The coatings are resistant to road salt and all standard cleaning chemicals.

Can I wash the coated surface with abrasive pads or cleaning agents?Abrasive pads or agents should not be used. In most instances all cleaning can be conducted with water and a cloth or soft brush.

Does the coating withstand heat and cold?The coatings are highly resistant to temperature (-150 C to + 450 C) and so hot brake dust will not burn into the coating.

Is the LIQUIGLAS® Hygienic / Toilet suitable for use on the ceramic surfaces of the WC?The LIQUIGLAS® fHygienic / Toilet is designed for application to plastic or lacquered surfaces and so it is not suitable for application to ceramic surfaces.

What is the best way to clean the coated WC seat? The seat can be cleaned with warm water and a cloth or disposable tissue; however despite offering highly effective background anti microbial protection there are circumstances in which additional disinfection may be necessary.

Will cleaning products damage the coating?Standard non abrasive domestic cleaning products will not damage the coating. Do not use any abrasive pads or abrasive cleaning agents on coated surfaces.

How do I clean brushed stainless steel? Brushed stainless steel is often used for oven hoods, oven hobs and microwaves. During the manufacturing process a thin oily deposit is often left in place.Thorough cleaning is required in order to remove this coating. A micro-fibre cloth and a suitable detergent can be used prior to deep cleaning with the LIQUIGLAS® cleaning wipe.

Does the coating prevent the appearance of finger prints?The LIQUIGLAS® coatings will not prevent finger prints from appearing on a surface but the finger prints are easily removed with a micro-fibre and warm water.

Do I need to wipe the surface with a dry cloth after cleaning? To attain an “as good as new” appearance it is advisable wipe the surface with a dry cloth as this will remove water marks.

Should I use a scourer to clean coated surfaces? Scouring agents and scouring pads will remove the coating.

Should I use warm water or cold water to clean the surface? Cold water can be used but warm water will enhance the removal of fats and cooking deposits. It is advisable to let the water soften baked on cooking deposits before cleaning the surface.

Is the coating suitable for all aluminium and stainless steel? It is important to note that occasionally aluminium is coated with a lacquer and so bonding to such surfaces may be less efficient (the LIQUIGLAS® Plastic, art. no. 447 should be used for these surfaces). Some stainless steel is highly polished. Optimal bonding to such surfaces can also be difficult to attain.

Are surfaces coated with LiquiGlas® self cleaning?No, because at the moment self cleaning technology is not efficient, if it truly exists. We offer „easy clean“ technology. LiquiGlas® has a non-stick characteristics. This is similar to items coated with Teflon®.

Place some natural yoghurt or fresh milk in a cup or similar „open“ container and note the date. Place the open container in the fridge and then note the date when the contents start to degrade and therefore become unfit for human consumption.

Surface disinfection with long-term effect, which lasts for up to 10 days

Humans have been creating disinfectants for millennia and of course some are more effective than others; for example we moved from vinegar to bleach (Sodium hypochlorite) both of which have served mankind very well.

Over recent years we have been using alcohol, iodine and hydrogen peroxide to disinfect surfaces but the problem with these disinfectants is that they are good at disinfecting, at the point when they are wiped over a surface, but they offer no residual benefi ts. For example, imagine the process of disinfecting a hospital room.

A person starts cleaning the surfaces on the left hand side of the room, by the time that they have reached the right hand side of the room the freshly cleaned surfaces may have been re-colonised by pathogens. This is clearly a completely unsatisfactory process. The healthcare sector needed to fi nd a solution to this problem and the solution lay in creating a disinfectant which combined sterilisation with long term residual protection. The solution became Bacoban®.

Bacoban® is a patented surface disinfectant which uses a completely new approach. It uses a semi permanent nano scale layer of SiO2 (better known as Liquid Glass). This layer holds within it, anti pathogen agents, which are slowly released whilst the surface is in place (up to 10 days). Not only is *Bacoban® effective against bacteria but it is also effective against a wide range of pathogens including Hepatitis, Infl uenza, HIV, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans.

Bacoban® closes the hygiene gap that arises between disinfection cycles. This allows for active infection control for an extended period. Moreover Bacoban® reduces odors caused by bacteria. Bacoban® is VAH-listed and CE certifi ed as a class 2A medical device. Whilst being tested, by renowned institutions (following the ASTM E 2180 protocol used to establish long term effi cacy) not only was the long term anti bacterial effect confi rmed but additional testing indicated that Bacoban creates „easy- to-clean“ surfaces, which reduces the cleaning time of the protected surfaces by approximately 50%. Bacoban® is biocompatible (tested under GLP conditions according to DIN EN ISO10993-1) the Bacoban range is manufactured in Germany under the European Directive 93/42/EC and DIN 13485 - 2003MPG. Bacoban® can be applied to almost all surfaces including metals, ceramics, plastics, textiles etc..

WettingWetting is the capability of liquids to spread on (solid) surfaces. Lower surface tension =better wetting. This revolutionary new blasting technology using dry ice crystals with sizes bet ween 0,4 to 3 mm opens up a whole new range of applications compared to today’s conventional dry ice blasting techniques.

What is dry ice?

Dry ice is made from liquid carbonic acid (CO2). The liquid carbonic acid is relaxed under atmospheric pressure in a so– called pelletizer. This physical process produces dry ice snow. This ice snow is then compressed through an extruder plate into round, hard dry ice pellets (elongated grains with a diameter of 3 mm).

Carbonic acid (CO2) is a non– flammable, odorless natural gas found in large quantities in volcanoes, earth crevices, springs, and as a by–product of plant, animal, and human metabolism.

The process

Dry ice blasting is similar to sand blasting. However, the blasting medium used here is dry ice pellets. These pellets are accelerated to extremely high speeds inside the dry ice blasting machine and blasted by a pressurized–air jet with the aid of a gun and nozzle onto the object to be cleaned. The resulting miniature explosions and cold shock (–78.5° C) effectively detaches dirt particles from surfaces.
