Technical pre-sales consultancy Hammer employs a dedicated team of technical specialists that test and evaluate the latest technologies. This enables us to deliver bleeding edge server computing and storage solutions. Partners can in turn deliver an agile business model that enables them to swiftly adapt to market challenges whilst still delivering ‘first to market’ datacentre-class IT projects. There is no ‘one size fits all’ within each technology segment, and different end customer applications and environments can require specialist knowledge to maximise performance, reliability and value for money.
Full product / technology evaluation & lifecycle management Hammer can deliver a full end-to-end product management / lifecycle service, from product evaluation / POC (proof of concept) through to EOL (end of life) product notification. Ranging
from standard partner testing to full technology evaluation and on-premise end customer qualification; demonstration samples are available on request for all new
high performance products and technologies. Hammer can also assist with benchmark performance statistics and analysis to enable partners to deliver the very best pre-sales
service to their customers. Hammer technology services communicate lifecycle changes throughout an entire project, working with partners to ensure suitable inventory is managed
seamlessly at all times; enabling partners to concentrate on revenue-generating business tasks, whilst still offering their own end-to-end warranty / service agreements.

Software defined datacentre solutions Hammer’s solutions empower organisations to seamlessly manage and scale their architectures, delivering massive performance
gains at a fraction of the cost of solutions offered by standalone hardware vendors. Software defined storage (SDS) delivers adaptive, self-learning and healing technology, taking the pain out of manual processes and helping deliver the promise of the new software defined datacentre through its hardware-agnostic architecture. Software defined networking (SDN) brings a new approach to designing, building and managing networks by decoupling the network OS from the switch hardware. The results deliver faster, easier and more affordable networking.
Open compute inspired datacentres Empowering the next generation of both rack and power efficient datacentres, Hammer’s unique OCP (Open Compute Project) inspired product portfolio incorporates a unique 21” wide datacentre rack cabinet that features dedicated power-to-rack design. Combining high density compute power, high-density enterprise storage or a mixture of the two; Hammer can deliver three system specs for 100% compute, 100% storage or a 50/50 mixture of the two. These are available with a true OCP inspired system design for an overall power saving of between 11-14% (against traditional 19”
rack server systems) and the lowest possible total cost of ownership (TCO). OCP inspired network switching and Cumulus Linux network switching OS is also available
for a true open compute experience.
MicroCloud computing Delivering the highest server per U density for enterprise computing, Hammer’s expansive portfolio of rack-dense MicroCloud server systems is
perfect for web hosting, hyper-scale and dedicated server hosting. These highly innovative, yet versatile server systems feature fully comprehensive server specifications, sharing a central redundant power source to deliver increased rack space and energy efficiency. These high performance server systems are available with a variety of server specifications and can be configured to suit exacting cloud server and storage projects.
Scale up / out VDI platforms Utilising the very latest in high performance Intel Xeon processors, high density memory, Flash IO technology, 10 / 40G Ethernet and NVIDIA GRID technology; Hammer’s wide portfolio of scale out and scale up VDI solutions can deliver the ultimate hardware-based virtualisation experience. Capable of delivering over 1 million IOPS, driving over 10,000 virtual desktops, with added graphics accelerated capabilities, true high performance storage area networks, and configured to suit exacting project requirements.
