Coaching capsules:

Cleveland -- Rob Chudzinski: 0-1, fi rst season as head coach.

Chudzinski was named the 14th full-time head coach in Browns

history on Jan. 10, 2013. He came to the team after spending the

past two seasons (2011-12) as the offensive coordinator for the

Carolina Panthers. Overall, Chudzinski’s résumé includes 19 years

of experience, including nine seasons in the NFL. Chudzinski re-

joined the Browns organization, where he spent the 2004 season

as tight ends coach and 2007-08 as offensive coordinator. In 2007,

Harbaugh, who led the Ravens to a Super Bowl XLVIII victory

over his brother, San Francisco head coach Jim Harbaugh, last sea-

his fi rst fi ve seasons in NFL history, and is the only head coach

since 1970 to win a playoff game in each of his fi rst fi ve seasons.

Under his direction, the Ravens have posted 10 or more victories

in four of the past fi ve seasons (nine in 2009) and claimed back-to-

back AFC North championships (2011-12). A Miami (Ohio) grad-

uate, Harbaugh coached eight seasons (1989-1996) at the Univer-

sity of Cincinnati, leading the school’s special teams, tight ends,

outside linebackers and running backs before acquiring assistant

head coach responsibilities in 1995.

A LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S GAME

LAST TIME IN THE REGULAR SEASONWHAT TO LOOK FOR THIS WEEK

A victory would give Rob Chudzinski his fi rst win as an NFL head coach.

The Browns haven’t allowed an opponent to rush for 50 yards or fewer in back-to-back games since 1989 (49 at Tampa Bay on Nov. 5 and 46 at Seattle on Nov. 12).

DL Desmond Bryant• Needs a sack to extend his streak to six consecutive games. He ended 2012 with a sack in each his fi nal four games with the Raiders (Dec. 6-30) and recorded one during the Browns’ season-opener (Sept. 8).

• Could become the fi rst Browns player with back-to-back mul-tiple sack games since Jamir Miller in 2001.

TE Jordan Cameron• Could become the fi rst Browns player to record back-to-back 100-yard receiving games since Braylon Edwards in 2006 (110 at Cincinnati on Sept. 17 and 116 yards against Baltimore on Sept. 24).

• Could join Milt Morin as the only tight ends in Browns his-tory to register back-to-back 100-yard receiving games. Morin accomplished the feat in 1968 (103 at Pittsburgh on Nov. 17 and 108 vs. Philadelphia on Nov. 24).

• Needs 119 receiving yards to surpass his career best season-

high total of 226 set in 2012.

OL Alex Mack

• Has started all 65 career games and has not missed an offen-

sive snap since joining the Browns as the 21st overall selection

of the 2009 draft.

RB Trent Richardson

• Needs 3 rushing yards to reach 1,000 in career.

• Needs 37 rushing yards to pass Lee Suggs (1,033 in 2003-04)

for the third-most by a Brown in his fi rst 17 career games. Needs

158 rushing yards to pass Kevin Mack (1,154 in 1985-86) for

the second-most. Jim Brown holds the record with 1,757 rush-

ing yards in his fi rst 17 games from 1957-58. Richardson cur-

rently has 997 rushing yards in 16 career contests.

OL Joe Thomas

• Has started all 97 career games and has not missed an offen-

sive snap since joining the Browns as the third overall selection

of the 2007 draft.

RAVENS 25

BROWNS 15Nov. 4, 2012

FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio

The Browns overcame a 14-point defi cit but couldn’t hold on as the they fell to the Ravens

25-15. The Ravens opened up scoring on their fi rst drive as RB Ray Rice scored on an 8-yard

run. Baltimore added to its lead after rookie RB Bernard Pierce scored on a 12-yard touchdown

run on the Ravens next possession. The Browns defense held the Ravens scoreless over their

next eight possessions, which included six three and outs. Over that stretch, Phil Dawson

converted on fi ve fi eld goal attempts (32, 28, 29, 33, 41) to give the Browns a one point advan-

tage with less than nine minutes remaining in the game. On their next possession, Baltimore

drove 81 yards on 22 plays and took the lead back after WR Torrey Smith hauled in a 19-yard

touchdown from QB Joe Flacco. Flacco then converted a two-point conversion to WR Anquan

Boldin to take a 22-15 lead. The Ravens added a fi eld goal after a failed fourth down conver-

sion by the Browns. The Ravens sealed the victory when S Ed Reed recorded an interception

with 2:09 remaining.

ROSTER BREAKDOWN

TEAM NOTES

In each of the past two seasons the Browns have led the league in

starts by rookies. In 2011, Cleveland had 66 starts by rookies. Last

year, the team had 87, the most by any NFL team since the Browns

had 88 during the 1999 season. The Browns will once again have

one of the youngest teams in the league, but the foundation is in

place. In fact, team’s season-opener marked the fi rst time that the

Browns did not have a rookie in their starting lineup since Week 16

in 2008, a streak of 65 consecutive games.

COMING OF AGE

Cleveland has 25 new players on the active roster from a year ago.

This consists of 13 free-agent signees (seven UFA), seven players

via waivers, four draft picks and one player acquired through trade

(WR Davone Bess). The Browns’ roster is made up of 13 second-

year players, 12 rookies and two fi rst-year players. The team cur-

rently has eight undrafted rookie free agents on the roster.

FRESH FACES

ON DECK

The Browns will play their second

consecutive road contest when

they travel to Minnesota to face the

Vikings on Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. This

marks the Vikings’ fi nal season

playing at Mall of America Field.

The Browns won their fi rst meet-

ing over the Vikings there, 23-20,

on Oct. 26, 1986, but have dropped

each of their last three games since. Minnesota leads the all-time

series 10-3, including a 34-20 victory to open the 2009 season at

FirstEnergy Stadium when the clubs last met on Sept. 13.

In the season opener against Miami (9/8), the Browns defense al-

lowed 20 rushing yards on 23 carries (0.9 avg.), which tied for the

second-fewest rushing yards allowed in a single-game in team his-

tory. After Week 1, that total is the lowest in the NFL. Last season,

the Browns fi nished 19th against the rush, allowing 118.7 yards

per game.

TEAM NOTES

TEAM ADDS TOP COORDINATORS

Head Coach Rob Chudzinski hired Norv Turner as offensive co-

ordinator and Ray Horton as defensive coordinator and retained

Chris Tabor as special teams coordinator.

Turner, who also works with the club’s quarterbacks, most recently

spent six seasons (2007-12) as the head coach of the San Diego

Chargers. Under Turner’s tutelage, quarterback Philip Rivers be-

came just the fi fth player in league history to pass for more than

4,500 yards in consecutive seasons (2010-11). In total, Turner

has spent 15 seasons as an NFL head coach and won 114 regular-

season games. He served as head coach of the Washington Red-

skins (1994-2000) and Oakland Raiders (2004-05), in addition to

stints as offensive coordinator in San Francisco (2006), Miami

(2002-03), San Diego (2001) and Dallas (1991-93). Turner’s of-

fensive system has produced the NFL’s leading rusher fi ve times

with three players in Emmitt Smith (1991-93), Ricky Williams

(2002) and LaDainian Tomlinson (2007).

Horton’s résumé includes 19 years of experience coaching in the

NFL, following a 10-year playing career as a defensive back. He

spent the past two seasons (2011-12) with the Arizona Cardinals

as defensive coordinator. In 2012, Horton guided a defensive unit

that ranked in the top-fi ve in the NFL in several categories, includ-

ing interceptions, takeaways, fi rst downs allowed, third-down effi -

ciency and passing yards. Prior to his time in Arizona, Horton spent

seven seasons (2004-10) as the defensive backs/assistant defensive

backs coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Horton was pivotal in the

development of Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, as he was selected

to six consecutive Pro Bowls (2005-10), named fi rst team All-Pro

three times (2005, 2008, 2010) and was voted as the 2010 AP De-

fensive Player of the Year. Horton began his coaching career with

Washington (1994-96) and has made stops as a defensive backs

coach with Cincinnati (1997-2001) and Detroit (2002-03).

Tabor, who joined the Browns in 2011, has 20 years of coaching

experience between the high school, collegiate and professional

levels. In 2012, he helped guide kicker Phil Dawson and kick re-

turner Joshua Cribbs to Pro Bowl selections. In addition, John-

son Bademosi led all rookies and fi nished tied for third in the NFL

with 18 special-teams tackles en route to being named the PFW/

PFWA All-Rookie special teams player. As a team Cleveland ranks

second in the NFL in punt return average (13.0) and tied for sec-

ond in the league in total return yards (3,432) since Tabor’s arrival

in 2011. Prior to joining the Browns, Tabor spent three seasons

(2008-10) as assistant special teams coach with Chicago. While

with the Bears, Tabor helped shape some of the NFL’s top return

specialists in Danieal Manning, Johnny Knox and Devin Hester.

ENERGIZING FIRSTENERGY STADIUM

Browns President Alec Scheiner on July 29 detailed the team’s

plan to enhance fans’ stadium experience by addressing fi ve areas

of concern, as noted by Browns fans: Stadium ingress, in-stadium

cell-phone service, in-stadium team stores, guest expectations and

the gameday experience.

Stadium ingress: On gameday, fans will spend less time enter-

ing the stadium as the Browns added 44 screening lanes and 20

turnstiles to FirstEnergy Stadium gates. Fans arriving without bags

will receive expedited access to the stadium through new express

lanes. In accordance with recently adopted NFL safety policies,

only one transparent bag per person (12” x 6” x 12” maximum

size) or clutch purse may be brought into the complex, which

will also quicken the screening process (visit www.NFL.com/all-

clear for more information). These enhancements are expected

to accommodate an additional 4,000 fans entering the facility per

15-minute period compared to 2012.

In-stadium cell phone service: Major phone companies installed

cell towers and upgraded the existing AT&T cell tower to help

fans communicate and access information more effi ciently on their

electronic devices.

In-stadium team stores: The Browns are adding and renovating

retail locations in and around FirstEnergy Stadium, as well as eval-

uating store inventory to best provide fans the items they desire.

Guest expectations: FirstEnergy Stadium staff received extensive

training so that Browns fans and visiting fans will receive high-

quality customer service and hospitality throughout their time at

the game.

Gameday experience: Complementing the above improvements,

the Cleveland Browns are enhancing gameday features and rituals

to provide fans a unique in-stadium experience and increase the

team’s home-fi eld advantage. New elements include a drum line,

disc jockeys before the game and during breaks in action, innova-

tive entertainment, on-fi eld activations and more components to

engage all fans from before kickoff until after the fi nal whistle.

Head Coach Rob Chudzinski announced this year’s seasonal

captains as voted by the team. The captains are Joe Thomas on

offense, D’Qwell Jackson on defense and Quentin Groves for

special teams. Each week there will also be a rotating fourth game

captain.

NEW BUSINESS LEADERSHIP

There aren’t just new faces on the sidelines for the Browns this

season, there are also plenty of new faces on the business side of

the organization. Owner Jimmy Haslam and CEO Joe Banner’s

fi rst hire on the business side was Alec Scheiner, brought in as

team President. Scheiner, who spent the previous eight years with

the Dallas Cowboys, oversees all business functions of the club

including revenue generation, stadium operations, fi nance, legal,

information technology, and fan engagement. Scheiner also helps

lead football analytics for the club and has various other involve-

ment with team operations.

The team also added Brent Stehlik as executive vice president/

chief revenue offi cer. Prior to joining the Browns, Stehlik, a na-

tive of Lakewood, Ohio, was senior vice president of business op-

erations for the San Diego Padres from 2010-12. In 2013, he was

named a recipient of the Sports Business Journal’s “Forty Under

40” Award.

The club also added Kevin Griffi n as vice president of fan experi-

ence and marketing. Griffi n joined the club after working with the

Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders FC (MLS) since 2004.

In addition, Sashi Brown was named the club’s executive vice

president, general counsel. He comes to the club after spending

the previous eight seasons (2005-12) with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

TEAM NOTES

HEAD COACH ROB CHUDZINSKI QUOTES

On the Dolphins game:

“Disappointed. We didn’t get the win for the team, the organi-

zation, and for the fans. But we’re getting back to work here.

We’ll teach off of this fi lm and off of this tape. We will make the

corrections and learn and we’ll move on. There’s a lot of things

we can learn and improve on. There are some things we did well

that we can build on. Overall, I felt that we competed hard. The

guys were very resilient. As the game went on, there were ups

and downs. That’s what NFL games are; ups and downs. I think

our guys handled that and continued to fi ght through. Defen-

sively we did a really good job of holding the line of scrimmage,

especially in the run game. We were able to get off the fi eld, for

the most part, and had a number of short drives. Offensively

we did move the ball at times. Obviously we have to be more

consistent in that area. I thought the two minute drill at the end

of the half was executed well. It took a few plays longer than

I expected with the penalties and some of the things going on.

But I think the guys did a great job of getting the ball in the end

zone at the end of the day. Special teams, I thought our cover-

age units played very well. Our kicker and punter both did a

nice job. Obviously some things we have to improve from this

game, the turnovers and particularly the penalties. We had some

penalties in critical times that brought back a touchdown in one

case, and some other big plays in some other cases. We have to

continue to improve in that area. We had some mental mistakes

and some communication errors that hurt us at times as well.

Third down is something we need to focus on and get better

at. Our pass protection needs to improve. We talked a little bit

about that last night. We have to have a sense to make the plays

at the critical times that are either going to extend our drives of-

fensively or stop drives defensively. At the end of the day, this is

the NFL. There are a handful of plays that can affect the game.

As we went through the tape, there were some plays that if we

are able to make and do a better job, then we’ll have a much

better chance of winning the game. Again, this is one game. We

have a lot of football left to play. These guys will learn from it as

we’re going through the process this afternoon. We’ll get better

and I’m looking forward to this next week.”

On how to handle blocking issues:

“There are some scheme things that we can do, and we will do.

It’s a matter of execution, whether it’s chips and things we had

planned and we just didn’t execute it well enough. We’ll get

those things straightened out.”

On how the cornerbacks performed:

“Those guys have improved. They’re going to be tested. We all

know they are going to be tested. I’m confi dent that they will

step up.”

On DL Desmond Bryant:

“I thought he had a really strong game. He applied pressure to

the quarterback. I think he had two sacks. He did a great job on

the run. I was very pleased with how he did.”

BROWNS EXTEND GRECO, YOUNT

The Browns recently agreed to terms on fi ve-year contracts

with OL John Greco and LS Christian Yount. Both players

are now signed through the 2017 season. The moves symbolizes

the Browns’ belief in developing and retaining their own players

whenever possible.

Greco, a 6-4, 315-pound veteran in his sixth NFL season out of To-

ledo, has seen action in 55 career contests with 14 starts. In 2012,

he appeared in 14 games, including a career-high 10 starts, all at

left guard. Originally selected by St. Louis in the third round (65th

overall) of the 2008 draft, Greco was traded to Cleveland prior to

the start of the 2011 season.

Yount, a 6-1, 256-pound veteran in his third NFL season out of

UCLA, has seen action in 28 career contests and has added four

special-teams tackles.

A native of Laguna Beach, Calif., Yount handled all of the team’s

long snapping duties in 2012 as well as the fi nal fi ve games of

the 2011 season. Originally signed by Tampa Bay as an undrafted

free agent in 2011, Yount handled the long snapping duties for the

Buccaneers’ fi rst seven contests that season. He was waived after

Tampa Bay activated its primary long snapper Andrew Economos

from the PUP list.

TEAM NOTES

BROWNS OVERSEAS

Browns players have participated in the NFL-USO All-Star Tour

in recent years, illustrating a team and personal commitment to

extend military appreciation. D’Qwell Jackson (March, 2013),

Alex Mack (2012) and Joe Thomas (2010) each participated in

week-long visits to U.S. troops at military bases throughout the

Middle East. In addition, former Brown Eric Metcalf (1989-94)

participated in the USO Alumni Tour in July 2013. The NFL and

USO have organized overseas morale-building visits for more than

45 years.

Following his trip overseas, Thomas supported a national USO

campaign to raise additional funds in support of our troops, lend-

ing his name to the nationwide effort. In addition, Thomas, who

was an NFL Finalist for the 2013 NFL Walter Payton Man of the

Year award, founded the “Thomas’ Troops” season-ticket pro-

gram, which hosts men and women who serve our country every

home game. These special guests from the USO of Northern Ohio

are provided tickets, apparel and food.

Since 1999, the Browns have had 34 undrafted rookie free agents

appear on the season-opening 53-man roster, including eight this

year. The Browns became the fi rst NFL team with eight undrafted

rookies on their 53-man roster for the fi rst game of a season since

Baltimore had nine in 2002.

CAMERON’S CAREER DAY

TE Jordan Cameron set career highs in receptions (nine) and re-

ceiving yards (108), while adding a 7-yard touchdown against the

Dolphins (9/8). He became the only Browns tight end to record a

100-yard receiving game in a season-opener and the fi rst Browns

player to register a 100-yard receiving game in Week 1 since WR

Frisman Jackson in 2005. Cameron is the fi rst Browns TE with a

100-yard receiving performance in any game since Benjamin Wat-

son in 2010. Cameron also joined Ozzie Newsome (seven times)

Kellen Winslow (fi ve times) and Watson (once) as the only Browns

tight ends with nine or more receptions in a single game.

Cameron’s nine receptions after Week 1 leads all NFL tight ends

and are tied for the fi fth-most among all players. In addition, his 108

receiving yards rank third among tight ends and are tied for 13th

among all NFL players this year.

HEAD COACH ROB CHUDZINSKI

Rob Chudzinski was named the 14th full-time

head coach in Browns history on Jan. 10, 2013.

Chudzinski comes to the team after spending the

past two seasons (2011-12) as the offensive coor-

dinator for the Carolina Panthers. Overall, Chudz-

inski’s résumé includes 19 years of experience,

including nine seasons in the NFL. Chudzinski

re-joins the Browns organization, where he spent

the 2004 season as tight ends coach and 2007-08

as offensive coordinator.

With the Panthers, the team went from two wins in the year before Chudz-

inski’s arrival to winning six in 2011 and seven in 2012, including vic-

tories in the fi nal four games of 2012. In 2011, the team set club records

for total yards (6,237) and fi rst downs (345), one year after experiencing

franchise lows in both categories. Carolina also scored 48 touchdowns af-

ter recording 17 the year prior to Chudzinski’s arrival. The Panthers also

moved from last in total yardage to seventh, marking the biggest improve-

ment in the league since the St. Louis Rams went from 27th in 1998 to

fi rst in 1999. In 2011, Chudzinski tutored Cam Newton, who became the

fi rst rookie in NFL history to throw for 4,000 yards, while setting an NFL

record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 14 en route to be-

ing named the 2011 Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year. The

Panthers also became the fi rst team in league history with three 700-yard

rushers in DeAngelo Williams (836), Jonathan Stewart (761) and Newton

(706). Wide receiver Steve Smith eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving both sea-

sons under Chudzinski.

Chudzinski had two stints with the San Diego Chargers, where he served

as the assistant head coach/tight ends coach from 2009-10 and tight ends

coach from 2005-06. As assistant head coach under current Browns offen-

sive coordinator Norv Turner, Chudzinski was intricately involved in team

operations and many gameday elements, in addition to his coaching duties.

Over this two-year period, San Diego posted a composite regular season

record of 22-10, including one AFC West title. During Chudzinski’s initial

stint with the Chargers, he worked under former Browns Head Coach Mar-

ty Schottenheimer. As tight ends coach, Chudzinski tutored Antonio Gates,

who was voted to the Pro Bowl in each of Chudzinski’s four seasons with

the team. Gates recorded 1,157 receiving yards in 2009 and 1,101 in 2005,

marking the only times he has eclipsed the 1,000-yard plateau in his career.

In four seasons working with Chudzinski, Gates averaged 72.3 receptions,

991.0 yards and 9.3 touchdowns per season, compared to an average of

58.8 receptions, 726.1 yards and 7.7 touchdowns in six seasons without

Chudzinski.

In 2007, Chudzinski guided the Browns’ offense as they scored 402 points

and amassed 5,621 yards of total offense, as both fi gures ranked as third-

best in franchise history. In 2007, the Browns ranked eighth in the NFL

in total offense after fi nishing 31st in 2006. In addition, they racked up

42 offensive touchdowns in 2007 and tied for seventh in the league in

this category, after fi nishing 30th with 22 the year before. Wide receiver

Braylon Edwards set franchise records with 1,289 receiving yards and 16

touchdowns, tight end Kellen Winslow set a career-high with 1,109 receiv-

ing yards and running back Jamal Lewis fi nished fi fth in the NFL with

1,304 rushing yards. The Browns won 10 games that year, which are the

most victories by the team since 1994 (11).

Chudzinski began his pro coaching career in 2004 as the Browns’ tight

ends coach, where he worked with fi rst-round draft choice, Kellen Win-

slow. During that season, Chudzinski was elevated to offensive coordinator

for the fi nal fi ve games following Butch Davis’ resignation as head coach.

From 1994-2003, Chudzinski coached at his alma mater, the University of

Miami (Fla.). He spent two seasons (1994-95) as a graduate assistant, fi ve

(1996-2000) as tight ends coach and three (2001-03) as offensive coordina-

tor. During his three seasons as offensive coordinator, the Hurricanes com-

piled a record of 35-3 and played in a BCS Bowl game each year, including

two National Championship appearances. He helped shape future NFL Pro

Bowlers Bubba Franks, Frank Gore, Andre Johnson, Willis McGahee, Bry-

ant McKinnie, Clinton Portis, Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow.

In 2001, the ‘Canes went 12-0 and defeated Nebraska to win the nation-

al championship. In 2002, Miami’s offense set school records for points

(527), total yards (6,074) and rushing touchdowns (33), one year after es-

tablishing school records in those same categories. In 2002, they averaged

40.5 points per game, 284.2 passing yards per game and 183.0 rushing

yards per contest. The Hurricanes went 12-1 in 2002, with their only de-

feat coming in overtime against Ohio State in the National Championship

game. In 2003, Miami fi nished with an 11-2 record, including a 16-14 vic-

tory over Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

At Miami, Chudzinski tutored Kellen Winslow, who won the John Mackey

Award in 2003 as the nation’s top collegiate tight end, while he also helped

to develop two other All-America tight ends in Bubba Franks (1999) and

Jeremy Shockey (2001). All three players went on to be fi rst-round NFL

draft picks.

Chudzinski played tight end at Miami from 1986-90 and was a three-year

starter and a member of two national championship teams (1987 and 1989).

He graduated with a B.A. in business administration in 1990 and went on

to earn his MBA in 1996. He is just the second University of Miami prod-

uct to become an NFL head coach, joining Jim Dooley, who coached the

Chicago Bears from 1968-71.

Chudzinski attended St. John’s High School in Toledo, Ohio, where he

grew up an avid Browns fan. He and his wife, Sheila, have two sons,

Kaelan and Rian, and one daughter, Margaret.

GAME SUMMARIES

DOLPHINS 23

BROWNS 10 Sept. 8, 2013

FirstEnergy Stadium; Cleveland, OhioThe Browns held a 7-6 halftime advantage against the Dolphins, but Miami responded with two second-half touchdowns and one fi eld goal to claim a 23-10 victory in the season opener at FirstEnergy Stadium. Defensively, Cleveland limited Miami to 20 rushing yards (23 attempts, 0.9 average) – tied for the second-fewest allowed in a game in franchise history – tallied four sacks and intercepted one pass that led to a fi rst-half touchdown. The Browns did not surrender a fi rst down on seven of the Dolphins’ 13 drives (53.8 percent), and allowed only one fi rst down on two additional series. Starting at right end in his Browns debut, DL Desmond Bryant tied a career highs with 2.0 sacks. The Browns offense registered more net yards (291-275) and fi rst downs (20-18) than the Dolphins, led by TE Jordan Cameron, who posted career highs for catches (9) and receiving yards (108) and scored his second career touchdown. Cameron became the only Browns tight end to amass 100 receiving yards in a Browns season opener and the fi rst Brown to accomplish the feat since 2005 (WR Frisman Jackson, 128, vs. Cin., 9/11). After a three-and-out on the Dolphins’ fi rst possession, Miami rookie K Caleb Sturgis con-verted a 45-yard and 49-yard fi eld goal to establish a 6-0 lead with 13:37 to play in the second quarter. With 4:23 to play in the fi rst half, Browns LB D’Qwell Jackson defl ected a Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill pass that DB Tashaun Gipson intercepted at the Cleveland 15-yard line and returned 29 yards. It marked Gipson’s second career interception and his longest-career interception return. Browns QB Brandon Weeden responded with an 11-play, 56-yard drive, completing four of six passes for 25 yards, including a 7-yard TD pass to Cameron that gave Cleveland a 7-6 halftime edge. Weeden attempted a career-high 53 passes with 26 completions for 289 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in the game. In the second half, Tan-nehill completed a 34-yard touchdown pass to WR Brian Hartline to make it 13-7 with 6:46 to play in the third quarter. Tannehill completed 24 of 38 passes for 272 yards with one TD and one INT, while Hartline caught nine passes for a game-best 114 yards with one TD. Browns K Billy Cundiff answered with his fi rst fi eld goal (39 yards) of the season, but the Dolphins extended their lead to two scores, 20-10, on a 1-yard touchdown run by RB Daniel Thomas with 6:48 remaining. Sturgis capped the game’s scoring with a 36-yard fi eld goal with 1:34 to play in the game.
