Prayers & Special Intentions

P P :

Almighty ever-living God, eternal health of believers, hear our prayers for Your servants who are sick with the coronavirus:

Grant them, we implore You, Your merciful help, so that, with their health restored, they may give You thanks in the midst of Your Church.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Please pray for the healing of the sick and the consola on of the afflicted, especially Bill Hicinbothem.

You shop. Amazon gives. St. Jus n benefits.

Please tell your rela ves, friend and neigh-bors here and across the country to donate to St. Jus n if they are not suppor ng a chari-ty of their own through Amazon Smile. Noth-ing ventured, nothing gained.

Amazon Smile donates a very small percentage (we will take anything we can get!) to St. Jus n every me you order something from them.

It is easy to set up and will not cost (a freebie!) you any addi onal money.

Simply go to https://smile.amazon.com/ch/59-2827376

Once you are set up, you must start at smile.amazon.com every me you order from Amazon for St. Jus n to benefit.

Thank you to those who already have shopped and made St. Jus n their charity of choice.

Again, it is not adding a penny to what you are spending at Amazon.

It is simply you telling Amazon to send some of their profit to St. Jus n.

And, that is certainly something to smile about!

Shop on!

Right this minute! Let us take our mind off the pandemic for just a while and look forward to Christmas. This year St. Jus n Outreach Ministry will be doing things

a bit differently due to the virus. The Giving Tree is being replaced by providing gi cards to each of the 120 parents and 20 seniors of Pinellas Village. The parent will then pur-chase a toy/gi for their child(ren).

If you would like to par cipate in bringing some joy to this Catholic Chari es run residence, please consider contribu ng the following:

W N L C NOW

Gi cards in any dollar amount for T ; W ; G , especially W -D , because many of the residents do not own a car but the store is within walking distance; G (for those who are fortunate enough to own a car); Any where the parent can .

Please drop the gi cards in the collec on basket, at the Church Office or mail to St. Jus n to my a en on. Checks in any amount may be made out to St. Jus n, Martyr Church with “Christmas Outreach” in the memo line. If you have any ques ons, please call me at 727.397.3312 x315 or email me at [email protected]. With your con nued help, I am looking forward to maintaining some sense of normalcy for these children who have extraordinarily li le in the way of material goods. Believe in the magic of Christmas!

COOL-AID II FUND This past week $240.00 was collected and an obliga on of $620.00 remains to pay off the 10-ton west wing air condi oner $16,500 debt. Go to www.stjustinmartyr.net (Online Giving - COOL-AID FUND), drop $5 or whatever amount you desire in the offertory basket or write a check with Cool-Aid in the memo line. Perishable food? Perish the thought!

Please, P , PLEASE NOT bring any perishable food to St. Jus n for the poor. We cannot accept anything that needs to be frozen or refrigerated items. All food must be nonperishable.

BLESS YOU! I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you who have contrib-

the future. God has a plan so we must trust and pray daily to do his will.

THE TWENTY-SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

Having told T ’ G story about the two sons, Jesus asks, “Which of the two did the father’s will?” What ma ers to Jesus is not what you hear or say, but what you do.

In Ma hew’s wri ng, a change of mind must also result in a change of ac ons. Jesus tells us what he believes, and what he sees and hears – but more importantly, he follows up with ac ons that speak volumes about who he is.

We must remember not to limit ourselves by what we said or did in the past – we can change our interac ons with others and also our rela on-ship with God. Doing what Jesus wants in all our ac ons, no ma er what we thought previously: That is how we become disciples.

All are required to wear masks at Mass for their safety and the safety of others.

Live classes are Wednesdays at 6:00 pm.

Live C G S clas-ses are Sundays at 10:15 am. The first CGS class starts today.
