3. Write all the exercise question and answers of chapters 1 and 2 in your homework note-book.

4. I) Draw a neat labelled diagram of an Animal cell and plant cell.

ii) write a note on stomata with diagram.

iii) Write down the features of different kinds of insectivorous plants and paste the pictures. 5.Draw the

diagram of human digestive system and label all the parts associated with it.

6.Read one chapter daily.

7.Improve your hand writing and learn cursive writing.

critical situation of COVID pandemic so it’s important to be safe and healthy. Despite that we have to utilize this time

in enriching our knowledge. That is why I am forwarding you, your holiday homework which help you to enhance

your creative and critical thinking. Your work is divided on weekly basis. I have assigned you some work for a whole

week, you have to complete it and upload/send the same on every Saturday or Monday on Google Classroom . I

hope you will enjoy the work. Do your work in good handwriting. There are some activities which would make your

summer vacations fun filled.

A) WRITE THE NAME OF ALL TYPES OF MICROORGANISM AND TWO DISEASES CAUSED BY EACH OF THEM.

D) MAKE A SCRAP BOOK CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT FAMOUS SCIENTISTS (LIKE BIRTH PLACE, BIRTH

YEAR, FAMILY BACKGROUND, FAMOUS DISCOVERIES AND CONTRIBUTION ETC.)

A) WRITE ABOUT DIFFERENT HARVEST FESTIVALS CELEBRATED THROUGH OUT THE COUNTRY WITH NAME

OF THE STATE IN WHICH THEY ARE CELEBRATED.

B) RAVI SAW HER MOTHER PUTTING SOME DRIED LEAVES IN AN IRON DRUM CONTAINING WHEAT. HE

WONDERS WHY? EXPLAIN THE REASON BEHIND IT.

C) ACTIVITY: DIG A PIT IN YOUR GARDEN .FILL THE PIT WITH LEAVES AND WASTE FROM THE KITCHEN,

THEN COVER IT WITH A LAYER OF MUD. POUR SOME WATER OVER IT.REMOVE THE LAYER OF MUD

AFTER 40 DAYS COMPOST WILL BE FORMED!

D) WRITE AND LEARN THE ADVANTAGES OF FERTILISERS AND MANURES.

MADE OF BOROSIL GLASS.HOW WOULD YOU EXPLAIN THIS.

C) LOCATE IN THE MAP OF INDIA: MINERAL RESOURCES OF MAJOR METALS LIKE IRON,COPPER, SODIUM

AND POTASSIUM.

D) WRITE A COMPARATIVE ACCOUNT OF PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF METAL AND

AND WEEDY PLANTS AND PROVIDE AMPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESEARCH.MAKE A HERBARIUM OF SEEDS

OF KHARIF AND RABI CROPS(FIVE EACH) AND WRITE EXPLANATIONS ABOUT TYPE OF SOIL , AMOUNT OF

HUMIDITY, TEMPARATURE AND FERTILISERS NEEDED.

1. PROJECT WORK Make a project on your native place and research on the following aspects:

• Physical features of the area. It may include mountains, plains, coasts, etc

• Mention the size and population and formation of your native place.

• Identify the ruling political party and the leader.

• Heritage of the area including temples, mythology, monuments, etc. Paste relevant pictures along with the information. Project should be of minimum 12 pages. 2. Power Point Presentation Prepare a Power Point Presentation (PPT) on Revolt of 1857. The presentation should be of minimum 15 slides. 3. Poster Making Prepare a poster on the topic ‘Pandemic and Environment’. OR Prepare a poster on the topic ‘International Day of Yoga’. 4. Activity Many parts of India face water scarcity especially during summer. Collect newspaper reports, pictures to prepare your report on “Water Scarcity in India”. Do it in a scrap book. 5. Photo Album Create a photo album on the Natural Disasters due to the climatic change since 2000. Highlight their causes, impact and the steps taken by the Indian Government to combat with it. 6. Do the following questions in your social science notebook i) Could all the Natural Resources be directly used by us? Explain with an example. ii) What is a potential resource? iii) Write ant three main features of Permanent Settlement. iv) Describe in brief, the methods of soil conservation. v) What is Constitution? What purpose does it serve? 7. Prepare a booklet on at least five Indian Freedom Fighters. Also write down the role played by them. Paste pictures.

NOTE: • The work must be done in a very neat and presentable manner.

• Get as creative as you can. Paste pictures or use any innovative ideas that you may think of.

• The work will be assessed on the basis of handwriting, presentation, neatness and completion of all the given work and indexing of the work.
