The Fine Print

Registration: Your entire class fee is required at sign-up to reserve your place in class, and a supply list will be given at that time. You can register in person, by phone with a credit card, online, or by mail (check enclosed). You will receive a supply list once you have registered for a class. We would appreciate your purchase of needed supplies from us. Upon registration, you will receive a coupon for 10% off your class supplies! Refunds: Seven days notice will be required for class refund or transfer. You may only transfer to a different class (with 7 days notice) one time, or class fees will be forfeited. No refund of any monies paid will be given if student cancellation is made less than 7 days before class, or if student does not show up for class. If a class is cancelled by The Quilt Asylum, all monies paid will be gladly refunded, transferred to another class, or held for store credit. Miscellaneous: All classes require a minimum number of students in order for the class to make (usually 2 or 3), and if necessary, classes will be cancelled due to lack of enrollment 7 days prior to scheduled date. Early registration helps us accommodate you better and guarantee that a class will make. Classes that are scheduled over lunchtime have a lunch break. A refrigerator and microwave are available for student use.

To save time and avoid frustration be sure you are always sew-

ing accurate 1/4 seams. To test your seam allowance: rotary cut three 1 1/2” x 5” strips of fabric. Sew them together with

your 1/4” seam. Press the seams open and measure the width

of the middle strip from the right side of the fabric. The mid-dle strip should measure exactly 1” wide. If this measurement

is not correct, cut new strips and continue to make adjustments

until your seams are 1/4”. Some machines allow the needle to be moved to the right or the left, and often it’s possible to make

an adjustment by simply moving the needle.
