WE ARE DELIGHTED you have chosen to worship with us. We consider it a privilege to share this time together praising and giving thanks to God. If you are making your home in this community we extend to you a hearty invitation to make this your church home. Just complete the Guest Registration card in the pew rack and place it in the offering plate. A special welcome to Pastor Mike & Gayle Tucker who are our guest speakers this weekend. Pastor Mike is the Speaker/Director for Faith For Today Television ministry. We also want to welcome all our guests and visitors who are attending the marriage seminar today.   

ANNOUNCEMENTS

TODAY: 1) THE FLOWERS: at the pulpit are from Karen Clements thanking the Lord for the life and memory of her brother who passed away two years ago. 2) MAD ABOUT MARRIAGE: all participants in the Mad about Marriage seminar are invited to the free luncheon at 1:00pm. Please present your meal ticket at the entrance of the fellowship hall. There will be a meeting from 2:00 to 5:30pm after the luncheon. 3) SERVING HANDS MINISTRY: 5:00pm in the fellowship hall. 4) SENIORS: will be having a vespers and potluck at Flaghill Park today at 6:00pm. There is no potluck after church but at Flaghill Park. The speaker will be Ann Burke. NEXT WEEK: 5) STUDY GROUP: Wednesday 10:30am in the overflow room. We are doing a special study and/or review of “the Discover Bible Studies” by The Voice of Prophecy with guidance in presenting them to others. 6) SPECIAL INVITATION: The Page family is planning a special weekend for Victor’s 80th birthday and his and LaVerta’s 50th wedding anniversary August 25 & 26th. There will be a reception Sunday afternoon August 26th, at 1:00pm at the church fellowship hall. Everyone is welcome. 13) LOMA LINDA UNIVERSITY: Nutrition Master’s students from LLU are seeking research participants for their study. The study is being conducted to determine if a questionnaire that asks about food intake accurately reflects what a person eats. Participants will be asked to fill out a questionnaire which asks about how often they eat certain foods, and then keep track of what they eat and drink for one week. Then they will fill out the questionnaire which asks about how often they eat certain foods again. Participation will last less than one month. Youth

Kayaking- August 19 (This Sunday)

Come join us (YOUTH ONLY) as we go down to Balboa Beach for the day to spend time together with friends, and maybe even meet some new friends, as we kayak through the marina and have fun in the water. It's time to stay cool!!! We will be meeting in the church parking lot @ 9:00am. Please bring money for lunch or bring a lunch with you. Revive Small Group Bible Study- August 28If you want to study God’s word but have no idea where to start come to Revive Small groups. We will see what the Bible has to say about relevant issues of today for teenagers. Starting August 28 at 6:00PM will continue every week.
