CeBIT AUSTRALIA 08 / 3D Floorplan
CeBIT Australia continues to go from strength to strength, with seven straight years of strong growth.
In 2002, CeBIT launched with a two-hall exhibition attracting 384 companies and 15,870 visitors. In 2008, the seventh edition of CeBIT Australia, the exhibition occupied four halls at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre, and attracted 753 exhibitors and 35,173 visitors.
The continued growth CeBIT Australia has experienced since its inception is largely due to the enriched visitor experience enjoyed on the show floor and knowledge gained from the CeBIT Australia conference program.
By any definition, CeBIT Australia 2008 was another outstanding success, continuing its reputation as the best Business-to-Business event for the technology sector.
CeBIT Australia 2009 will build on the successful platform laid this year. Expect to see an even more comprehensive conference program and new and exciting initiatives for business visitors and delegates.
I encourage you, as a 2008 exhibitor, to study this end of show report, which provides all the necessary statistics and an overview on the event, and secure your stand space early for 2009.
If you have not exhibited at CeBIT before, this report will outline what you missed in 2008, but what your company could be a part of in 2009.

Testimonials
This was our 6th event and they keep getting bigger and better. For Altech, it’s not just a showcase or wow factor. It’s about doing business. We signed a major new contractor on the show floor. CeBIT is a great event to make major announcements and showcase our business/company.
““
CeBIT has been a great success for us. It’s the first year that we have exhibited, and it has been well worth the investment. We had three strong business objectives, to educate the Australian market about search engine advertising and help them to start their first Yahoo! Search Marketing account, to generate leads for our business, and to connect with senior business leaders from around the world. In partnership with the CeBIT organisers, we have achieved all three objectives after just two days, so I’m thrilled at the results. CeBIT has taken the time to understand our business, and has helped us immensely to achieve our objectives.

As a long time visitor to CeBIT Australia I was confident of a positive first-time exhibitor experience, however, the reality far exceeded all expectations. In addition to an overwhelming number of new client opportunities, we met with numerous strategic alliance partnership prospects, which has the potential to rapidly elevate our business to a much higher level. We’re so impressed by the quality and quantity of CeBIT visitors we met we have already committed to twice the space at next year’s show.

CeBIT Australia, a world-class business technology event, has delivered a standard matched by no other in this space. The business opportunities and brand exposure gained over the course of the event has been outstanding. We look forward to another successful event at CeBIT Australia 2009.“

CeBIT 2008 provided the opportunity for Devnet to demonstrate the latest in cloud computing applications for business. We were able to reach a wide audience over the 3 days at CeBIT 2008 and Devnet used the event to launch a new range of business applications. We spoke to CEOs, Directors, ICT professionals and other business people looking to learn more about what is available in the ICT space. We gained hundreds of leads and completed over 200 demonstrations over 3 days. The evening events were also beneficial to network with industry professionals. The exhibition floor traffic was constant and we were delighted to see people lining up every day to make their way through the exhibition hall. I would recommend other organisations to consider CeBIT as one of their core event marketing activities in the 08/09 financial year.

CeBIT Australia 2008 for T[life]™ has been a very successful first experience. Both the quality and quantity of customers far exceeded expectations. As a result, T[life]™ experienced an overwhelming amount of brand exposure and new business opportunities over the course of this event. We look forward to other successful events with CeBIT in the future.

CeBIT Australia 2008 was a great show for us this year. The number and quality of show visitors even exceeded the success of our CeBIT 2007 show. We have already booked our 2009 stand and looking forward to an even better response. CeBIT has become one of our key marketing events giving us a fabulous return on our investment. The number of qualified leads exceeds that of any other show we have attended.

Emerson Network Power recognised a good quality of visitors at the show this year. There was enough interest in the key products that Emerson Network Power were showcasing and Emerson Network Power feels confident that the leads we acquired from the show will turn into good sales. The show fits with where Emerson Network Power is going. Emerson Network Power partners and distributors travelled from interstate to see our Knurr range of rack products at the show. When planning the marketing budget for AVG and deciding which exhibitions to attend, we always ask the desert island question — If you could only do one, which would it be? CeBIT Australia is always our answer. Year after year CeBIT Australia delivers to us results an order of magnitude better than any other exhibition we participate at. CeBIT Australia 2008 was no exception. A record number of visitors resulted in an overwhelming number of people at the AVG stand, great brand exposure, plus a record number of business leads. And the quality and value of those leads just keeps improving each year.So if there is one exhibition you should do, it’s CeBIT Australia. But can you keep it to yourself. If word of this gets out, our competitors might show up as well.
