Reflection

This week we celebrate Christ the King. In the best sense of the word, a King is some one who cares for the people under his care, and also has authority over them. When have you felt Jesus’ care for you? How

do you allow Jesus to have authority over you?

As you think about Jesus on the cross, having compassion on the “good thief,” what lesson do you draw from it for your own life?

The American Cancer Society offers many free services to help people with cancer and their families overcome obsta-cles in their personal cancer fight so they can focus on getting well. Services in-clude Road to Recovery, wigs for women, Look Good Feel Better - for women - and lodging. One challenge involves transpor-

tation to and from much-needed cancer treatments. Patients may be to ill to drive themselves, may not have a car or some-one to drive or may not be able to afford gas or other transpor-tation. American Cancer Society seeks volunteer drivers who are willing to use their own vehicles to drive patients undergo-ing cancer treatment as well as other appointments. Interested volunteers can call (800) 227-2345 to find out more about this vital program and how to become involved.
