Psalm 27(continued)

5 One thing have I asked of the LORD; ' one thing I ' seek; * that I may dwell in the house of the ' LORD all the ' days of my '

life; 6 To behold the fair ' beauty of the ' LORD * and to ' seek him ' in his ' temple. 7 For in the day of trouble he shall keep me ' safe in his ' shelter; * he shall hide me in the secrecy of his dwelling and set me ' high up'on a ' rock. 8 Even now he lifts ' up my ' head * above my ' enemies ' round a'bout me. 9 Therefore I will offer in his dwelling an oblation with ' sounds of great ' gladness; * I will sing and make ' music ' to the ' LORD. 10 Hearken to my voice, O ' LORD, when I ' call; * have ' mercy on 'me and ' answer me. 11 You speak in my heart and say,' "Seek my ' face." * Your ' face, LORD, ' will I ' seek. 12 Hide not your ' face from ' me, * nor turn away your ' servant ' in dis'pleasure. 13 You have been my helper; cast me ' not a'way; * do not forsake me, O ' God of ' my sal'vation. 14 Though my father and my mother forsake me,* the LORD will sustain me. Glory to the Father, and ' to the ' Son, * and ' to the ' Holy ' Spirit: As it was in the be'ginning, is now, * and ' will be for'ever. A'men.

MITTEN “TREE” BOX

During the month of January, we will once again collect NEW mittens and gloves to help those members of our community who are in need. Won’t you consider helping us to help those who are less fortunate, by donating warm gloves and mittens? They will be distributed to those who regularly visit local soup kitchens, and will go a long way towards helping them stay warm and dry during the upcoming colder months. The box will be kept in the Marco Smith Building entry hall-way during the week and in the MCS kitchen during Sunday Coffee Hour. Thank you in advance for your generous help!

ANNUAL PARISH MEETING In accordance with our church's bylaws, this year there will be three (3) three-year Vestry positions to be filled and one (1) two-year warden position to be elected at the Annual Parish meeting to be held on January 29, 2020 at 7pm in MCS Building.
