Est determinada por la existencia de investigaciones (ejecutadas)

afines a la que pretendemos realizar. Durante el proceso de

investigacin, permiten al investigador tener conocimiento general del

problema y comprender mejor las variables de investigacin.

Las investigaciones empricas y los anlisis tericos tienen fecha de

inicio y de trmino. De acuerdo a la naturaleza del problema objeto

de estudio, esta limitante puede ser:

1. TRANSVERSAL.

Que pueden ejecutarse con rapidez, Dentro de ella estn

comprendidos todos los estudios siempre y cuando que el problema

est correctamente planteado.

2. LONGITUDINAL.

Son aquellas que requieren un periodo de tiempo de un ao o ms

para su ejecucin. El investigador conoce sus variaciones desde el

inicio de la ejecucin del proyecto hasta la culminacin del mismo.

LIMITANTE TEMPORAL:

Ejemplo de limitante transversal:El investigador selecciona como unidades de anlisis a

nios de diversas edades (5,7,9 aos) y los somete a un

test de inteligencia; el efecto observado en cualquier nivel

puede hacerse con rapidez.

Ejemplo de limitante longitudinal:El investigador tiene como objetivo determinar las

habilidades motoras de nios de cinco aos. Para ello,

tiene que trabajar con dos grupos de nios. Un grupo

debe estar conformado por nios que han tenido mucha

experiencia con juguetes educativos y otros, que carece de

tal experiencia. Para alcanzar el objetivo, el investigador

debe de iniciar un estudio longitudinal de dos aospara medir la habilidad motora de ambos grupos.

Se refiere al rea geogrfica (local, regional, nacional e

internacional) en el cual est comprendido el problema de

investigacin. Cuando el objeto de estudio es exclusivamente

terico (primer nivel) carece de esta limitante, sin embargo,

por razones metodolgicas el lugar de ejecucin de la

investigacin constituye la limitante espacial, con la diferencia

de que las unidades de anlisis son absolutamente tericas,

mientras en las investigaciones empricas estas no lo son; es

decir, estn comprendidas dentro de una determinada rea

geogrfica.

La limitante del problema de investigacin planteado, est

comprendida entre Cayumba (Departamento de Hunuco) y

Campanilla (Departamento de San Martn). Solo una muestra

representativa de las unidades de anlisis correspondiente a

este espacio, sern investigadas. Los resultados se

generalizarn para el total de la poblacin de la cual fue

2. La concepcin del hombre en la filosofa de Platn.

Es una investigacin terica (primer nivel). La tarea ms

importante del investigador es estudiar las obras de Platn y analizar

cada uno de los conceptos que Platn tiene sobre el hombre, luego,

sistematizar la concepcin filosfica del hombre desde la ptica

platoniana. Esta investigacin, carece de limitante espacial; sus

resultados no sern sometidos a comprobacin emprica, en

consecuencia, es un estudio exclusivamente terico. Sin

embargo, el investigador realiza sus actividades en el lugar que

mejores condiciones acadmicas ofrezca, por lo tanto, a ste se le

considera como lugar de ejecucin.

Para esto debemos tener en cuenta lo siguiente:

La pregunta no siempre comunica el problema en su

totalidad, ya que cada problema requiere de un anlisis en loparticular.

Las preguntas no deben ser demasiado generales ya que no

conducen al aspecto concreto de investigacin.

Las preguntas no deben usar trminos ambiguos ni abstractos.

Constituyen ms bien ideas iniciales que es necesario refinar y

precisar para que guen el estudio.

Evitar preguntas que generen una gran cantidad de dudas.

Las preguntas deben ser precisas.

Las preguntas deben establecer los lmites temporales y

espaciales del estudio a realizar.

En el proceso de investigacin, las interrogantes

constituyen tanto para formularlas como para

contestarlas, las tormentas mentales lgicas del

investigador.

Se deben plantear en funcin de la naturaleza del

problema objeto de estudio.

Las interrogantes indican la direccin del desarrollo

de nuestro saber, desempean un papel importante

en la trayectoria de la ciencia y en el planteamiento

de hiptesis cientficas. Las interrogantes y las respuestas permiten al

investigador tener ideas generales acerca de lo que se

tiene que ejecutar.

Ellas dan claridad y solidez al planteamiento del

problema.

La forma de preguntar a la realidad, determinar el

tipo de respuesta que obtengamos; en consecuencia,

la naturaleza de la pregunta determina la naturaleza

de la respuesta.

Si durante el proceso de investigacin se obtienen

resultados incoherentes a la esencia de las

interrogantes, entonces, se realizar reajustes al

proyecto de investigacin.

Los reajustes deben llevarse a cabo dentro de los
