Camp Kitchikewana is uniquely located on Beausoleil Island in Georgian Bay Islands National Park. WATERBUG CLUB (1 week) 6-9 YRS OLD A perfect introduction for first-time campers focusing on creativity, developing friendships and having fun. Campers will be introduced to traditional programs, land and water activities, games and sing-songs. $980 • June 30 - July 6 | July 7-13 | Aug 11-17 | Aug 18-24 TRADITIONAL CAMP (2 weeks) 7-14 YRS OLD Memories are made each session with a blend of skill instruction, all-camp activities and outdoor pursuits. Special programs top off the two week camp experience, including the Sailing Regattas, the Lumberman and Voyageur Games. $1,715 • June 30 - July 13 | July 14-27 | July 28 - Aug 10 | Aug 11-24 SAILING CAMP (2 weeks) 12-14 YRS OLD Campers take part in extensive sailing lessons with a focus on racing and being exposed to different types of sailboats and teaching practices. The highlight of this program is a sail around the south end of Beausoleil Island. $1,790 • July 14-27 | July 28 - Aug 10 LEADERSHIP ONE (4 weeks) 15 YRS OLD Campers will build self-esteem and experience personal growth, with a focus on skills development, personal leadership and communication. Camper experience includes learning the fundamentals of trip leadership planning (5-day canoe trip) and a focus on advanced skill development (including obtaining secondary school credit). Application form required. $2,890 • June 30 - July 27 | July 28 - Aug 24 LEADERSHIP TWO (4 weeks) 16 YRS OLD Campers will focus on positive community involvement, including group dynamics, instructional techniques, counselling skills, camper characteristics and local heritage. Campers will practice their skills and leadership styles under the supervisions of experienced camp staff. Opportunity to obtain secondary school credits available. Written cancellations prior to May 1, 2019 are permitted. Applicants will receive a full refund, less an administrative fee of $200. Cancellations after May 1, 2019 will be granted for medical reasons only. To qualify for a full refund (less an adminis- trative fee) a medical certificate must accompany written notice of cancellation. No refund of any amount will be granted for non-medical cancellations received on or after May 1, 2019. The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka reserves the right to cancel registration if the camper’s medical information is not completed and if the authorization is not signed by the parent/guardian and returned to the YMCA camping office prior to the commencement of the camp session. Refunds will not be issued when the participant is removed from the camp program at a choice or request of the participant or parent/guardian or due to behavioural issues. Camps may be cancelled due to low registration. If this is the case, you will be called at least 2 weeks ahead of time to choose a different camp option for that week. GP LEAP BRONZE PROGRAM (1 week) Age 15 by July 1st This program focuses on an Adventure Recreation experience. Participants will learn camp basics on a ‘Practice Journey’ and then feel the rewards of a 2-day ‘Qualifying Journey’ canoe trip. This will qualify them to achieve the Duke of Edinburgh’s Adventurous Journey at the Bronze Award Level. The journey ends with reflection and bridging during a solo ‘sit-spot’ in the wilderness. $750 – Session 1: June 29 - July 6 • Session 2: August 17-24 GP LEAP SILVER PROGRAM (2 weeks) Age 16 by July 1st This program focuses on building your hard skills with an Adventure Education lens where you will begin to think, discuss and reflect about your experiences. Participants will camp out on a 2-day ‘Practice Journey’ and then the 4-day ‘Qualifying Journey’ canoe trip. This achieves the Duke of Edinburgh’s Adventurous Journey at the Silver Award Level. Building knowledge and skills in land, water and challenge-based activity areas will culminate in a reflective ‘duet’ campout experience. $1300 – Session 1: July 6-20 • Session 2: August 3-17 GP LEAP GOLD PROGRAM (3 weeks) Age 17 by July 1st This Adventure Development program focuses on placements in your skill areas to develop soft skills and learn the key behaviours of leadership. Leadership skills develop further on a 2-day ‘Practice Journey’ and then the 8-day ‘Qualifying Journey’ canoe trip. This achieves the Duke of Edinburgh’s Adventurous Journey at the Gold Award Level. A supervised overnight ‘solo’ experience will allow actions and reflections to integrate into behavioural leadership change. $1950 – Session 1: June 29 - July 20 • Session 2: August 3-24 GP LEAP PLATINUM PROGRAM (1 or 2 weeks) Age 17 or older by July 1st This Adventure Development program is a Volunteer opportunity to fully inte- grate hard and soft skills into action. There will be a variety of positions available. Volunteers will report to the Supervisors and Program Coordinators of the selected program area. 2019 Day Camps - Wasaga Beach & Area

Extended day program: The Wasaga Beach YMCA offers extended care from 7:00-8:30am and 4:30-6:00pm; each of these options cost $30.00 for the week.Member rates information: Please note in order to qualify for the member price, participants must be members at the time of registration and during the camp program.

NEW DISCOVERIES 6-8 YRS OLDCampers will have the opportunity to develop their love of nature at Springwater Provincial Park! Outdoor activities will include sports and games, hiking, pond study, and survival skills. Each week campers will bus to a local beach for swimming.

YOUNG NATURALISTS 9-12 YRS OLDCampers will develop their outdoor know-how through nature based programming at Springwater Provincial Park. Available activities include shelter building, nature hikes, geocaching, and biking. Each week campers will bus to a local beach for swimming.

LEADERSHIP CAMP 13-16 YRS OLDIn this three week program youth will develop their leadership and communication skills through a variety of team building activities. Participants will have the oppor-tunity to plan a camp theme day and assist with younger age groups. This program is great for teens looking to take the next step in becoming a leader in their com-munity. Please note, this program does not count towards high school volunteer hours.

INCLUSION SERVICES The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is pleased to provide up to two weeks of additional support to campers with special needs, whether developmental, physical, cognitive, emotional or behavioural. Inclusion counsellors may work one-on-one with campers to provide the individual accommodations necessary for a successful camp experience. CAMP EXPLORERS 6-8 YRS OLDExperience all that camp has to offer! Campers will participate in a wide variety of activities including sports and games, arts and crafts, and daily swimming. Each week will feature a local field trip or special guest.

CAMP TRAILBLAZERS 9-12 YRS OLDCampers will enjoy a variety of fun and interactive programs that keep them en-gaged throughout the day. Activities will include sports and games, arts and crafts, and daily swimming. Each week will feature a local field trip or special guest.

ART CAMP 6-8 AND 9-12 YRS OLDCampers will spend the first half of each day exploring their creative side through a variety of artistic media including sculpture, painting, printmaking, clay, pastels and more!

SPORTS CAMP 6-8 AND 9-12 YRS OLDCampers will develop the fundamental skills needed to play a variety of sports in-cluding basketball, soccer, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and more. Emphasis on fun, fitness, fair play, and friends!
