Cross-Cultural Business Conference 2015
We are pleased to annnouce the 4th international “Cross-Cultural Business Conference 2015” at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. The conference is embedded in the annual “International Week” and provides a platform for lecturers, researchers and practitioners to enhance their knowledge and discuss latest developments in the fields of management, business, marketing, sales, higher education, information and communication technology (ICT).Also, we are delighted that Richard D. Lewis, one of Britain´s foremost linguists and cross-cultural luminary, best-selling author of “When Cultures Collide”, will be holding the keynote speech and attend the “CCBC 2015”.

Scope of the ConferenceThis conference held at the School of Management in Steyr will predominantly focus on key management subjects of the study programme Global Sales and Marketing by taking a closer look at encounters in an intercultural environment. This year again, the School of Informatics, Communications and Media in Hagenberg will enrich our conference by offering a special track on cross-cultural perspectives in the ICT industry.
Authors are encouraged to prepare and submit papers for the following sessions:

SESSION C: Intercultural Perspectives in Higher Education ResearchThis session focuses on intercultural and cross-cultural issues related to higher education given that recent years have witnessed an increasing interest in cross-border collaborations between universities and institutions in the tertiary sector. We welcome paper submissions with research findings on one of the following topics:>> Cross-Cultural Comparison of Academic

For the first time, in accordance with the UN Academic Impact Programme (UNAI) – an alignment of institutions of higher education, scholarship and researchers which currently lists 943 members, we are happy to receive contributions with regards to the UNAI principles, namely:
>> Capacity Building in Higher Education Systems across the World
>> Encouragement of Global Citizenship through Education
>> Promotion of Sustainability through Education
>> Promotion of Inter-cultural Dialogue and Understanding and the “Unlearning” of Intolerance through Education
SESSION D: Intercultural Perspectives in Informatics, Communications and MediaThis session encourages paper submissions that offer an original contribution relevant the Information and Communications Technology.Paper topics could include, but are not restricted to the following:>> International Project Work in ICT>> Media, Culture and Society>> Cross-border Communication >> Cross-Cultural Awareness in ICT Communities>> Impact of Social Media
Author Guidelines & Submission>> Please register online at our website
www.fh-ooe.at/ccbc2015. There, you will be asked to indicate the session you would like to participate in and to provide a short abstract of max. 500 words by November the 27th.
>> Both the anonymous, double-blind review process and full paper (5-10 pages) submission will be done online. As for the format of the paper, please stick to the master paper, which can be downloaded from our homepage.
>> After completion of the double-blind review process, authors will be informed about acceptance, rejection or suggested modifications. Accepted papers of participants who have paid the conference fee and presented their paper at the conference will be published in the conference proceedings with an ISBN number.
>> This year’s journal partnership will constitute a further opportunity for publication

Conference Participation without PaperIf you would like to participate in the Cross- Cultural Business Conference 2015 without submitting a paper, please register online at ww w. conft ool. net/ccbc2015 until May 12th, 2015.
Registration Fees for Visitors and PresentersRegular Ticket: 280 €Early Bird Payment (until 2nd, April 2015): 240 €(PhD) Student Ticket: 140 €FH OÖ Employee Ticket 50 €
Payment of Registration Fees:All fees are payable in Euro only. The payment procedure will be carried out via our online registration tool, where you will receive all the necessary guidelines and instructions. The registration fee includes:>> Participation in all social events>> Participation in all presentations of the Cross-
Cultural Business Conference>> One copy of the official conference publication
Please note: Accommodation is not included in the registration fee.
Venue & AccommodationThe conference will be held at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, School of Management in Steyr. The city of Steyr has a long history as an industrial and manufacturing center and has one of the best preserved old towns in Austria. It is located directly at the confluence of the river Enns and Steyr, and thus makes Steyr a particularly picturesque place.

Social Programme >> On Monday the 18th of May we will invite you
to join the BMW Company Visit. >> On Tuesday the 19th of May a guided tour
through the historical center of Steyr will be provided.
>> On Wednesday the 20th of May nature as well as art enthusiasts will be able to attend the Welcoming Trip to Linz, the provincial capital of Upper Austria. In the evening participants are invited to mingle at the “International Fair”, where students from all over the world will present their countries, cultures and culinary specialties.
Our official Conference Dinner will take place in the evening on Thursday, the 21st of May. On Friday, the 22nd of May farewell snacks and drinks will be provided.
Researchers are invited to take a group of interested students with them to participate in the International Week. Please indicate in advance if you intend to do so.
