No child grows up without the spiritual support of her community, and no parent raises a child alone. We are now charged with loving and spiritually supporting this family, and we pray for Diego and Annette as Violeta’s parents. As Violeta’s church family, do you promise to love this child, to offer her your nurturing prayers to help sustain her and her family as they learn and grow and change together?

Will you, the congregation, support Rachel as she walks among you, comforting, exhorting and witnessing for the church of Jesus Christ?

We, the members of this church, do support Rachel Johnson as an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We recognize that her talents, training, and commitments qualify her for such a designation. We have observed her gifts and recognize her calling. By her work among us, she has enlarged our vision of the Kingdom of God. We anticipate her ministry of reconciling people to one another and to God. As the church of Jesus Christ, we commission her today and ordain her to the Gospel ministry. Amen.
