Financial Obligations If your senior has any outstanding financial obliga-tions to the school, they must pay them Immediately; otherwise, she won’t be allowed to walk in the graduation ceremony. This week, seniors were made aware of their fines. Please pay them as soon as possible.

Final Transcripts If your student needs a final transcript for college, we must have a stamped envelope addressed to the college turned in to Student Services by May 31. Students were given an example of how it should be addressed in their Senior Graduation Assembly. So far, we have received only 48 envelopes out of 500 seniors. Final transcripts will not be mailed to your child’s college or university until we have the envelope.

    Sources of Strength

    Special Olympic Spring Games

We are so excited to share with you photos of the Special Olympic Spring Games that began on April 29th. It kicked off with the Opening Ceremonies where our Extension students were the drummers playing “We Will Rock You!” They worked hard all year with our Band Director and Butler Teacher of the Year, Matt Dowell. Our Unified Club also assisted with the presentation of the flag and were selected as the CMS Unified Champion School of the Year! The Spring Games Competition took place at Charlotte Country Day School. We had numerous athletes competing in track and field events as well as a United Softball Team! We won both Unified softball games against Rocky River and Garinger and received the gold medal! We did amazing at Track and Field with a myriad of individual and 4x1 relay golds, silvers, bronzes and 4th place ribbons. Congratulations to everyone!

    Student/Faculty Basketball Game

Our annual Students vs. Faculty Basketball Game had a little twist this year. In the past, the students played against the faculty in the ultimate showdown (in which the faculty maintained an undefeated record of 21-0, not that we’re bragging)! This year, however, we were approached by Power 98 FM and the DRIP Tour to see if they could be the opposing team. The DRIP Tour, which stands for Do Right Initially Period, has visited sev-eral other CMS schools this year to talk about making the right choices the first time because we don’t always get a second chance. Sport E. Odie and Power 98 FM announced the game. Unfortunately, we lost to the DRIP Tour, but the faculty feels their undefeated record still stands because they didn’t actually play against the students! To be continued next year ...
