Women’s Lacrosse

The Butler Women’s Lacrosse team is looking for players for their Spring team! Butler students of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join! Butler Book Club

School Leadership Team (SLT)

Parents—this one is for YOU! We are looking for parent volunteers to serve on the SLT. The purpose is to develop a School Improvement Plan to increase student performance. The team is comprised of teachers, parents, and school staff. MYEP The Mayor’s Youth Employment Program (MYEP) allows juniors and seniors to complete a PAID internship in a career field they find interesting. The internship occurs over the summer of 2021, and students must have transportation. Go to Career Center website to apply and found out more information.

College & Military Presentations We’re excited for our juniors and seniors to speak with the college and military representatives we have lined up (see below). Registration is required for the virtual sessions. Go to Butler’s website and click on “Student Services,” then “College Rep Sign-Ups.” We will email link the night before or morning of the presentation. We add more reps each week, so have them bookmark the page and keep checking back!

Scrolling Announcements What are they and where do I find them? Butler’s scrolling announcements contain up-to-the-minute information for students such as: Club meetings and sports sign-ups Jobs and internships College fairs, college reps, and scholarships Career exploration programs and much more! Students see them on their Chromebooks when they turn it on and log in each morning, or they can type in https://sites.google.com/a/cms.k12.nc.us/butlerhigh and bookmark it. When students return to the building, they can also see them on the TVs located in the hallways throughout the building. Parents can find the scrolling announcements on Butler’s website at the bottom of the page.

Harris Teeter: Next time you stop in Harris Teeter, ask them to link your card to 1243, or our PTSO will do it for you! Email your phone number or VIC Card number to [email protected]. Every time you shop, Harris Teeter donates a portion of the sale to our school. Your VIC card must be relinked every year.

Amazon Smile: Go to smile.amazon.com (do not use the Amazon app or amazon.com). It’s the same products, prices, and service, but 0.5% of the purchase price comes back to the school. Pay Your Dues: Membership dues are only $10 per person or $25 for a family membership! Family supporters receive a Butler car magnet or visor. To pay your dues, please go to: www.pay4schoolstuff.com.
