M-II series uses reciprocal molybdenum wire, for multiple cutting process using the same wire. New double wire tension system on the M-II series, doubles the wire tension when using the same weight.

Better wire guidance by Zirconia guiding wheels increase guiding group life time including wheels and bearings, thus improving cutting accuracy, too. Geometry of wire guide sleeves is also improved with larger conical surface, making

wire threading easier. Guide sleeves are made of high wear resistant diamond material.

Wire drum speed can be adjusted in several speed steps, so a wider range of materials and thicknesses can be processed and better roughness obtained.

M-II series come with 3 layer filtration unit consisting of: dirty water tank, transitional water tank and clean water tank

TECHNOLOGY FOR GLOBAL NEEDS BENEFITS USING WIRE CUT EDM

Cut conductive materials ranging from aluminium and copper over harmetal and titanium to graphite with an electrical spark. EDM technology allows you to achieve extreme accuracy when produc-ing incredibly delicate parts at very high cutting speeds. Nor is this just restricted to die and mould. Since only one tool is required it is also your low-cost alternative to milling, turning, grinding, lathing or broaching. What’s more, you can accomplish a whole range of different processes using multi-pur-pose EDM, even unmanned.

Produce almost any part with a single wire cut

Zirconium guide wheels for increased power

• Zero force cutting: Since there is no contact between the cutting tool and workpiece, EDM allows you to cut very small parts, such as injector pins or medical needles, with the thinnest of walls – a clear benefit compared to drilling, milling or lathing.• Up to 140 hrs unmanned machining: Wire EDM is slower than other technologies, but benefits from the

fact that machines can work unmanned for up to 160 hrs. That is almost 7 days of uninterrupted machining without an operator present. • No burrs, no reworking: Because no force is applied, wire cutting leaves perfect sur-faces. For still finer surfaces or even mirror finishing, there is the Micro Finish function.• No specific fixturing: Wire Cut EDM machines do not require specific fixtures for dif-ferent components and processes – saving you money and making you more flexible. • No swarf, no scrap: On processes involving costly materials, Wire Cut EDM has the advantage that no swarf is produced, and additional scrap costs incurred.• Low tool costs: Since all it requires is a single high-quality wire, Wire EDM benefits from low tool costs compared to other cutting technologies and specially when using the reusable molybdenum technology.• Cut tiny radii: Ideal for cutting microparts and capable of realizing radii down to 0.09 mm, Moly wire EDM is the ultimate alternative to milling.

Molybdenum wire cuttingTechnological advantagesUsing molybdenum wire cutting machines offers much more advantages than disadvantages. When you can accept the few limitations of moly wire cutting and your workpieces are within the tolerances reachable of our machines, then our Noviform-M series offers you an economical very interesting high functional tool able to make high quality parts and save tremendous money in production cost.Contradictious to copper (tensile strength 200-250N/mm²) or brass wires (soft 375 N/mm² and hard 1180 N/mm2), moly wire is a very high strength wire (tensile strength 1724 N/mm2). Molybdenum wire resist to very high pulling forces and breaking it is very difficult. This gives many advantages:• Much less wire breakage common with many copper/brass wires• Almost no elongation (<2%) of the wire during cutting• Higher pulling force guarantees also straighter cuts and helps in maintaining excellent wall straightness. This allows it to cut very fine, very straight-walled details with sharp definition.• Due to the higher pulling forces possible, we can increase the move through speeds of the cutting wire remarkable and can make a much faster cutting.This molybdenum wire is mostly used in the fixed diameter of 0.18mm (+- 3µm) to meet blueprint requirements of narrow kerfs and near-sharp, inside corner radii. This 0.18mm gives a perfect balance between lifetime, cutting speed, cutting tolerances and surface quality. Because moly wire has very high melting temperature, (2,625°C), compared to copper (1085°C) and brass (900-940°C), the Noviform-M machines can handle very high working temperatures in the cutting zone. This results that almost all conductive materials, most difficult, hardest and toughest, can be cut with our Novicut-M without any problem at higher speeds.By using patented zirconium guide wheels, we could increase drastically the cutting current, resulting in an increased cutting speed.

Save more than 10000, euro per year per shift per machineThe price of a wire EDM machine is nothing compared to the cost of wire over the life of the machine. “Wire is the single highest expense in operating a wire EDM.Although wire consumption rarely appears as a topic of concern for most wire EDM users, the financial benefits of owning a low-wire-consumption machine can be critical to a manufacturer’s bottom line. With the revolutionary Molybdenum wire cutting system with zirconium guiding wheels, you will be able to save of up to 70 percent in many applications while maintaining precision and surface quality (Ra<0.8µ).EDM brass/copper wire, at its current cost of approximately €12-15 a kg, is the single highest cost related to the use of WEDM technology. On average, most Copper/brass WEDMs unspool wire at a rate of 500 to 1200 grams per hour. The faster a WEDM machine unspools wire, the more it costs to operate that machine. For shops that run a WEDM for 2,000 hours per year (one shift), investing in a Novicut-M machine can generate a saving of about €10,000 only in EDM wire per machine/per shift each year.
