    Physical Activity?

    WHO defines physical activity as any bodilymovement produced by skeletal muscles thatrequires energy expenditure including activitiesundertaken while working, playing, carrying outhousehold chores, travelling, and engaging inrecreational pursuits.

    The term physical activity should not be confusedwith exercise, which is a subcategory of physicalactivity that is planned, structured, repetitive,and aims to improve or maintain one or morecomponents of physical fitness. Both, moderateand vigorous intensity physical activity brings healthbenefits.

    The intensity of different forms of physical activity

    varies between people.
