**WHEN COMPLETING A MATH ASSIGNMENT ON PAPER, PLEASE WRITE THE PROBLEM AND

THE ANSWER. The only time you do not have to write a problem is when it is a word problem.

When you have a word problem, you must write the equation needed to solve the problem and

the answer. (Your equation will show the problem needed to solve the word problem and then

of course, your answer.) **

**Remember there are a couple of ways to view your math book: Pearson Realize

(PearsonRealize.com), Realize Reader app (rr), and I am sending copies of pages in Showbie.

Monday – Prayer for the Fourth Week of Easter

*Christ is risen, ALLELUIA!

*O God our Shepherd, you care for your flock across every desert and through every dark place. Through the

intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, seek out and restore all of those who have lost their way, that we may

with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

*Personal Intentions *Mother Mary, St. Joseph, St. Matthew pray for us. Choose a saint and ask him or

her to pray for us.

Monday – Science

TEKS: 10A Students will explore how structures and functions enable organisms to survive in

their environment.

Direct Teach/Independent Practice: Living and nonliving things each have important roles in an

ecosystem. Every organism has certain body parts and performs certain actions in order to survive in its

ecosystem. These body parts are physical adaptations. The actions are behavioral adaptations.

1) Log in to Pearson Realize.

2) Watch “Untamed Science: How Bats adapt.”

3) Log in to Showbie and go to Science Week 7 (pink folder).

4) Go to the Adaptations and Traits Vocabulary page.

5) Use context clues to write a definition for each term. You will find the terms and clues on

pages 326-348 of your Pearson eText.

Page 8: Bud, Not Buddy - Chapter 9-10 Vocabulary

6) Note: “Learned behavior” is on page 348. It is not highlighted. However, you can

find the definition in the second sentence.

Enrichment (optional): Identify a physical adaptation and a behavioral adaptation that helps you pet survive.

Monday – Social Studies

TEKS: 4B Students will describe the growth, development, and impact of the Cattle Industry.

live and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

*Personal Intentions

*Mother Mary, St. Joseph, St. Matthew pray for us. Choose a saint and ask him or her to pray for us.

Tuesday – Science

TEKS: 10A

Direct Teach/Independent Practice: Organisms have physical and behavioral adaptations that

help them survive on a daily basis. Adaptations also help organisms survive when there are changes to their

ecosystem.

1) Watch "Living Things Change: Crash Course Kids" Science Week 7 (pink folder).

Page 9: Bud, Not Buddy - Chapter 9-10 Vocabulary

2) Review the definitions you wrote yesterday on the Adaptations and Traits Vocabulary

page (Science Remote Learning folder in Showbie).

in your yard or in your Pearson eText.

Tuesday – Social Studies

TEKS: 4B

.Direct Teach/Independent Practice: God has given each of us special gifts. We each have the

responsibility to use our gifts for our own good and for the good of others. Whether you are home with your

family, in class, on a sports team, or in a band, each member is important. Today you will learn about the

different positions cowhands had on cattle drives and how they worked together as a team in order to take

care of the cattle and deliver them safely.

1) Log in to Showbie and go to Social Studies Week 7 (pink folder).

2) Find this assignment: “C. Tuesday May 5th.”
