Wija is also an independent commissioner of several companies, including PT Indosat Ooredoo Tbk. Before joining the government in 2014, Wija was the Vice Rector of Paramadina University (2007-2014) and was the Founder and Managing Director of Paramadina Public Policy Institute (2010-2014). Wija spent 10 years of his early career (1995-2005) in investment banking and private equity industry, in which he held various senior positions at Farindo Investment/ Farallon Capital LLC., ABN AMRO Asia Securities, and Makindo Securities. During his academic career, Wija has produced around 100 articles and papers, published in national/international magazines, newspapers and academic journals. Wija appears regularly in various TV programs, including in Channel News Asia, CNN Indonesia, CNBC Indonesia, Bloomberg Indonesia, TV One, Metro TV, Berita Satu and TVRI, as resource person for economic and public policy. Wija, has published four books, titled “Korupsi Mengorupsi Indonesia” (2010), “Jendela Hati” (2013), “No Easy Way – Indonesia’s Epic Toward Prosperity” (2014) and “Bridging the Gap – Mengurangi Ketimpangan Meluruskan Esensi Pembangunan” (2014). He is a Fulbright scholar and holds a master degree in public policy from Georgetown University (USA) and a bachelor degree in civil engineering from Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia). Currently, Wija lives in Kelapa Gading Jakarta with his wife (Ovie) and daughter (Branita). He spends his leisure time on travelling, reading and swimming.

SPEAKERS’ BIO
