CONTRACTS Bachelors Masters PhD Post PhD 3.6.1 Contract a) Candidate will sign a BSP Incentive contract where the terms and condition of the contract will be based on the KPI and activities ascertained. b) Candidate will be assessed every 6 months on their progress. Candidate will be dropped from the incentive program if failed to meet the standards required for the BSP. c) Incentives can be given on top of any scholarship/loan hold by the candidate. If candidate has recently completed his/her Bachelor:  a) Candidate will sign a BSP Incentive contract to pursue a Master degree (full research only) in University of Malaya. b) The BSP period will be for 2 years. c) Candidate must meet the terms and conditions stated in the BSP contract (including the KPI and activities). d) Candidate will be assessed every 6 months on their progress. Candidate will be dropped from the incentive program if failed to meet the standards required for the BSP. e) Incentives will still be given if a candidate (local and international) is holding a scholarship or loan or Research Assistant post in University of Malaya (if applicable) without cancellation/ breach of contract. f) Candidates however must be a full time student during the BSP candidature. If candidate has recently completed his/her Bachelor/ Master: a) Candidate will sign a SBSUM Scholarship contract to pursue a PhD degree either in UM or a public University in Malaysia or a world renowned university within the 6 countries stipulated by the University (Singapore, China, India, Korea, Japan and New Zealand) . b) The BSP period will be for 3 years. c) Candidate must meet the terms and conditions stated in the BSP contract (including the KPI and activities). d) Local candidates can be considered for transfer of contract from SBSUM to SLAB/SLAI scheme. e) Candidate will be assessed every 6 months on their progress. Candidate will be dropped from the scholarship program if failed to meet the standards required for the BSP. f) Candidate must not hold any other posts or scholarship or loan throughout the SBSUM Scholarship ) Candidate will sign an appointment contract as a Visiting Research Fellow/ Visiting Senior Research Fellow/ Post doctoral Research Fellow/ Visiting Academic Staff. b) Candidate will start receiving the BSP Incentive on top of the emolument subject to a satisfactory progress report for the first six (6) month of the appointment. ) Candidate will be assessed every 6 months on their progress. Candidate will be dropped from the BSP Incentive if failed to meet the standards required for the BSP (KPI and activities). However, the appointment contract will still continue until the end of the tenure.

b) The BSP period will be for 3 years.

c) Candidate must meet the termsand conditions stated in the BSPcontract (including the KPI andactivities).

d) Local candidates can be consideredfor transfer of contract fromSBSUM to SLAB/SLAI scheme.

e) Candidate will be assessed every 6months on their progress.Candidate will be dropped fromthe scholarship program if failed tomeet the standards required forthe BSP.

f) Candidate must not hold any otherposts or scholarship or loanthroughout the SBSUM Scholarship
