Silent Films

Modern cinema is generally seen as adescendant of the work of the Lumirebrothers in France in 1892, which firstshows came to London in 1896; however,the first pictures with movementsdeveloped on celluloid were made inHyde Park, London, 1889 by WilliamFriese Greene.
