In modern dentistry almost every prosthetic restoration is dependent upon a model.

This model is the link - „the database“- between the dental practice and the dental laboratory. If this link includes any errors, it may trigger a chain reaction that involves undesired effects:

• Restoration needs to be separated • Restoration needs to be adjusted in a time-consuming process • Additional costs will arise• Chairside treatment of the patient is extended - further appoitments are required

In particular implant restorations require utmost precision since the implants are not able to compensate tension in the way natural teeth are able to and hence the long-term success of the restoration is put at risk.

Moreover patients generally make high demands on wearing comfort and esthetics of their restorations.

A modern impression system must therefore fulfi ll the following requirements: • Precise registration of the implant position• Precise registration of the gingival situation • Disinfectability• Complete masking with dental stone• Simple demoulding

brecision implant impression materials

brecision implant heavy

The new brecision implant heavy has been optimized to meet the requirements of implant dentistry. In the case of open impressions, it ensures reliable fi xation of the implant impression abutment and in the case of closed impressions it enables safe repositioning of the impression abutment.

brecision implant light

Thanks to its thixotropy, brecision implant light provides highly accurate reproduc-tion of details for impressions of esthetically demanding regions. As a result it is the perfect material for double-mix or correction impressions.

Monophase impressionThe monophase impression for less de-manding esthetic restorations, such as in edentulous ridges, free-end restorations, etc. can be easily and safely taken using brecision implant heavy.

Correction impressionIf a correction impession is to be performed, putty soft is used for the fi rst impression. This material can be perfectly combined with the correction material brecision implant light which is used for the second impression.

Double-mix impressionIf restorations need to have a highly esthet-ic appearance and a very precise impression of the gingival situation is needed, the dou-ble-mix impression technique using breci-sion implant heavy and brecision implant light is recommended.

Mixing time: 0:15 min

Processing time: 2:15 min

Residence time in the mouth: 2:45 min at 37 °C / 95 °F

Total setting time: 5:00 min

The measurements were performed at a room temperature of 23 °C / 73° F and a relative humidity of 50 %.

The measurements demonstrate the synchronous course of the setting process of brecision implant heavy and implant light. This way homogeneous bond-ing of both materials is ensured. The rapid and uniform increase is essential for the reliable clinical use. The high fi nal hardness of brecision implant heavy guarantees safe fi xation of the impression abutments (for example for reliable repositioning).

bredent impression concept based on the indications

The combination of • the impression, • bite registration and • model fabrication is essential for the successful production of a precision-fi t prosthetic restoration. Based on the indication, the following pattern shows the opti-mal use of the bredent materials from impression taking to the model fabrication.

Using systematic batch and validation documen-tation, bredent avoids material-related deviations in volume. Accordingly, the contraction of the brecision implant material is compensated by the expansion of the Thixo-Rock stone.
