Everyone is encouraged to attend the ecumenical services each day. On Wednesday, April 17th, Fr. Alphonse Gollapalli, our Pastor, will preside and preach at the services and the Blessed Sacrament Choir will provide music. Blessed Sacrament Parish Ladies will provide lunch on Good Friday, April 19th.
*The offerings will be donated to the Food Bank. Lunch is $5.00 per person.
Holy Thursday Collection for Diocese of Little Rock Seminarians
April 18, 2019
Msgr. James E. O’Connell started an endowment fund for our diocesan seminarians over fifty years ago.
Thankfully, God is answering our prayers for an increase in vocations to the diocesan priesthood! However, with the blessing of seminarians the fund can no longer cover the cost of educating all of them. We come to the people of God, asking you to be a blessing to our future priests! Thank you for your generosity.
The Pontifical Good Friday Collection
April 19, 2019
Pope Francis has asked that we support the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land. Our support helps the church minister in parishes, provide Catholic schools and offer religious education. The Pontifical Good Friday Collection provides humanitarian aid to refugees. When we contribute to the collection, we become an instrument of peace and join with Catholics around the world in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land. Please be Generous!

Lenten Regulations
Abstinence from meats is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years old and older on Good Friday and on all Fridays of Lent. Fasting is to be observed on Good Friday by all Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 59. Those who are bound by this may take only one full meal. Two smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength according to one‘s needs, but eating solid foods between meals is not permitted.
Parish Sr. CYM Youth will be selling fresh Krispy Kreme Doughnuts & Coupons after Masses next weekend, April 13th and 14th, for $10 per fresh dozen/coupon!
Proceeds help support Sr. CYM activities! Thank you for your generosity!
Your Local Knights of Columbus council is cooking ribs every month! We will take orders after Masses on the first Saturday (and following Sunday) each month with pick-up at the Knights Hall, 1103 East
Highland,10AM -1PM on the second Saturday of the month. This is a chance not only to have the best ribs around, but to make sure the dollars you give go back to the parish and our community! The Divine Mercy Prayer Service will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1101 East Highland Sunday the 28th. At 3:00 p.m. the Blessed Sacrament will be placed in Exposition, followed by the recitation/singing of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and quiet reflection on Christ’s Mercy until Benediction and the Blessed Sacrament will be reposed.

El Monseñor Santiago E. O'Connell inició un fondo de dotación para nuestros seminaristas diocesanos hace más de cincuenta años. Afortunadamente, Dios
está respondiendo a nuestras oraciones, y hemos tenido un ¡aumento en las vocaciones al sacerdocio diocesano! Sin embargo, el fondo de dotación de los seminaristas ya no puede cubrir el costo para educarlos a todos ellos, por eso ¡Venimos al pueblo de Dios, para pedirles que sean una bendición para nuestros futuros sacerdotes!
La Colecta Pontificia del Viernes Santo 19 de abril de 2019
El Papa Francisco ha pedido que apoyemos la Colecta Pontificia del Viernes Santo, que ayuda a los cristianos en Tierra Santa. Nuestro apoyo ayuda al ministro de la iglesia en las parroquias, provee a escuelas católicas y ofrece educación religiosa. La Colecta Pontificia del Viernes Santo ofrece ayuda humanitaria a los refugiados. Cuando contribuimos a la colección, nos convertimos en un instrumento de paz y nos unimos a los católicos de todo el mundo en solidaridad con la Iglesia en Tierra Santa. ¡POR FAVOR SEA GENEROSO!

Reglamentos Cuaresmales
Abstinencia: Todos los católicos mayores de 14 años, deben abstenerse de comer carne el todos los viernes de Cuaresma. El Ayuno debe ser observado por todos los católicos que han-cumplido los dieciocho (18) años pero no han llegado a los cincuenta y nueve (59). Estas personas sólo pueden hacer una comida completa, y dos comidas pequeñas si son necesarias para mantener las fuerzas, de acuerdo a las necesidades individuales, pero no se permite alimento sólido entre las comidas.
