Birthday Video Intro

Ingredients: BirthdayPresentW, BirthdayPresentMaskW, BirthdayWishW, BirthdayCandlesW, your titleof "Birthday Person's Name."

1. Prepare Show Settings for Widescreen.

Under Show Options>Show Settings, set Aspect Ratio to 16:9. Under Edit>Preferences, set Default Image Settings to Fill Frame.

2. Drag and drop BirthdayWishW into slide 1.

Set Slide Time to 10 seconds. Double click on slide to open Slide Options.

Under Layers>Layer Settings, set Aspect Ratio for BirthdayWish to 16:9. (Though you may haveyour Show Options set for widescreen, ProShow may not recognize all imported files as being 16:9.)

3. Add BirthdayPresentW.

Select +Add Image or Video. Under Layer Settings, set Aspect Ratio to 16:9.

4. Add BirthdayPresentW mask.

Select +Add Masking Layer>Add Image or Video. Under Layers>Layer Settings, set Aspect Ratiofor mask to 16:9.

5. Adjust the timing of BirthdayWishW.

Under Effects>Motion Effects, right click on Keyframe 1 and select Set Time for this Keyframe. Settime to 2 seconds. This will ensure the writing on the cake doesn't begin until the cake is visible. ClickOK to exit slide.

6. Set Transition to Cut.

7. Drag and drop BirthdayCandlesW into slide 2.

Set Slide Time to 10 seconds. Double click on slide to open Slide Options.

8. Add caption for name of birthday person.

Under Captions>Caption Settings, type the name of the person. Set the color of the text to red byselecting Color Set and dragging the "Eyedropper" up to the red balloon behind the cake. (Fontused: Ballantine_Reg_Demi Size: 48)

Drag and drop the caption into position on the cake. Under Text Effects>Fly In, choose Fade Right.Click Ok to exit slide.

End result will be birthday present opening up to a cake. Happy Birthday will be written on the cakefollowed by the name of the birthday person on the side of the cake.
