LEAD OUTSIDE THE BOX
There are four leadership challenges offered at our regional leadership summits. Clubs will be able to register for each of the regional leadership challenges online during the registration process. Awards for these challenges as well as the appointment of three junior and three senior leadership representatives will be mailed to the school. Clubs may not enter challenges without the minimum number of students.
LEADERSHIP REPRESENTATIVE
* A club must have at least 5 members registered for the virtual summit to submit a student as a regional summit representative. * Only one student from each club may participate and serve as a regional summit representative. *IfselectedasaLeadershipRepresentative, thestudentmaynotrunforstateofficetheyearselectedortheyearheorsheserves. * If the club has alredy had a representative selected during that school year, a club may not nominate another student at a different regional summit during that school year.
Three Junior Representatives and three Senior Representatives will be selected at each regional summit. Participants will be involved in a virtual interview forum. These selected Leadership Representatives will serve the following year at the summit where selected during the sessions, challenges and interviews.

Competition GuidelinesThe following rules and regulations should be read carefully. By submitting the nomination and recommendation form, you are agreeing to abide by these rules and regulations:
1. Nominees will take part in a virtual interview.2. Nominees must wear a collared shirt or a polo shirt with khaki or dark pants. 3. Three Junior Leadership Representatives and three Senior Leadership Representatives will be selected and serve the following year.4. The Sponsor(s) or Executive Head of the representative’s school must write a brief recommendation during the registration process to include, but not limited to, the student’s leadership qualities.5. If a representative is selected and later dropped from the local club or if the representative is not enrolled actively in school during the entire term, the representative forfeits the right to serve as a Leadership Representative. It is imperative for the selected representative to notify the National Office immediately if he/she is unable to serve.6. Submission of the registration is a pledge stating that he/she will attend all of the sessions at the summit, and will fulfill all of the duties assigned the following year. This means he/she is obligated to attend the entire summit, when nominated and when serving as a Regional Representative. Failure to fulfill this obligation will result in the representative forfeiting his/her opportunity to interview and serve.7. Students selected as a Leadership Representative are not eligible to run for state office at the state convention the year chosen and the year he/she serves.8. Clubs that nominate a student to interview as a Leadership Representative must have at least five students registered for the regional summit.9. A club may nominate a student to serve as a Leadership Representative, However, if a student is selected as a representative, the club may not nominate another student at another regional summit during that school year. 10.
