Ben Fogle describes himself in his latest book as ‘The Accidental Adventurer’. His achievements include racing 160 miles across the Sahara desert in thenotorious Marathon des Sables, crossing Antarctica in a foot race to theSouth Pole and of course setting the British pairs record for rowing acrossthe Atlantic with last year’s presenter, double Olympic gold medallist, JamesCracknell. Perhaps more than anyone, Ben understands what is required tomove from “ordinary bloke” to “outstanding achiever.”

When not taking on one of life’s most extreme adventures he is an ambassador for WWF, Medicins Sans Frontier and Tusk, he’s a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and thePresident of the Campaign for National Parks.
