Red Cross Blood Drive Sunday, August 14, 7:30 am - 12:30 pmTwo buses will be available with a goal of 50 units. BUMC blood donations have significantly dropped this year and we are in danger of losing one of the buses and having our donation hours reduced. Please find the time to donate on August 14. Results of June 12 drive: 35 donated units and two first-time donors.

Men’s White Water Rafting Trip 2011Saturday, August 20 – Noon, Sunday, August 21Join us as we go white water rafting on the Ocoee River in beautiful Ocoee, TN! Limited to the first 25 participants. Funds raised from the race will go towards the construction and outfitting a children’s home in an orphanage in Haiti partnered with The Global Orphan Project. Be a part of BUMC’s 14th Mission Trip to MexicoSeptember 9 – 18, 2011. BUMC will send a group to Mexico to serve with the Give Ye Them to Eat (GYTTE) Program (www.gytte.org ). The GYTTE Tree of Life Center is located in South Central Mexico, near the village of Tlancualpican, and serves the very poor rural population in the areas of community development, agriculture, healthcare, livestock, housing, and worship.
