• The first edition of BANGKOK INDIEFEST was successfully launched in 2010, despite a very limited budget and significant challenges in the local Bangkok environment

• The first BANGKOK INDIEFEST screened 60+ movies including Thai and international movies, documentary films, short films, animation – 90% of the screenings were Bangkok premieres!

• The festival is targeted to people at the age of 25-35+ years, with crossover between Thai, resident foreigner, and tourist audiences.

• A Southeast Asia Filmmaker Exchange is in the works for the 2nd edition, to help make the festival (and Bangkok) a definitive future hub for work by ASEAN entertainers and filmmakers
