Moved:Sylvia Bristow-Stagg… Sec:Jeff Mills… That Barry & Frances Neale be accepted as Members of the Club Carried Welcome to Barry & Frances Dennis & James were at the meeting, President Stan welcomed them to the Club once again. General Business: *Code 404, Concession. Licenses: As reflected in the correspondence, the information regarding this concession was found on the website late April/early May. The new form E81 can also be found online. *PMH Poker Run: This is on this coming Sunday, 23rd June. Initially it was advertised on the Dowerin Car Club website that the AVVVA were conducting this run. Quite a lot of sleuthing was carried out to find out that the lunch stop will be in Dowerin, hosted by the Dowerin Car Club, and the event is being run by the Dunrooten Club. *Donations to Our Club: Each year the Club receives a substantial donation from our Patron, Carmel Sands. From time to time we receive donations from Members, and recently the Secretary was asked if the Club would accept a donation of $50. We wish to assure Members that all donations are gratefully received and feel that they should be acknowledged. We would like to acknowledge and thank the following Members for their recent kind donations. Kevin Lindley, Westonia - $50.00. Keith & Christine Boase, Kalgoorlie - $10. Alan & Jan Friend, Northam - $14.50. *Model Railway Exhibition: At a recent visit to the exhibition, Member Peter Cox was approached by a Signal Man (from Claremont) regarding the old signal box on our old Station here. It was explained that NHF are looking at the preservation of this area by suggesting that the huge tree on the platform be removed, and for OH & S reasons, have the signal box lowered to the platform. Therefore for any further information, an approach would need to be made either to the Northam Heritage Forum or Shire of Northam. *Lease of AVVVA Clubrooms: The issue of power usage/distribution has been resolved. However when discussing the signing and other contents of the Lease, Members present were astounded with the $600+pa rental factor. The reason being that all other Groups leasing Shire buildings pay only $1pa. The issue also discussed was the present renovation/painting of the building by the Shire. This has been happening for 18mths & is nowhere near completed. Will this still be completed by the Shire after the signing of the Lease. Moved: Hazel King… Seconded: Jeff Mills… That further enquiries be made concerning the present issues and that the signing of the Lease be deferred until such time as the concerns are satisfactorily resolved. There being no further business the meeting closed at 9.30pm

Ray Crocker has a neighbour with two metal badges, don’t know what from. They are in the shape of a V with the letters V and M on the upper sections and a circle with 38 in it in the centre. The other badge is the same but with the number 45 instead. On the reverse of both is “Property of the CVM” If anyone knows what these are or is interested in them please call Ray on 9298-8165.
