President Jim welcomed all to the meeting and spoke about our Member Andrew Wooding. Andrew was an Active Member, and always ‘up for a chat’. A Minutes silence was observed. Reports: Shed Report The 3 vehicles, Sprite, Morris Oxford and Ford Truck all travelled well to Toodyay Ag Show and displayed well. The Truck is in readiness for its trip to Blue Steel Oval on the 29 October for display at the All Ford Day. The First Aid box has been mounted on the wall in the Shed, sporting its new ‘artwork’ on the front, thanks to Bronwyn. Events Ford A-trailed to Royal Perth Flower Show. Despite 6 children and working in a Gold Mine are now pursuing their passion with older cars. Interested in a 1971 Kingswood special, however unable to obtain. Vern Thomas recommended our Club. Neil and Lisa Sparkes of Mount Helena with a 1923 Model T Ford, restored. Restored with assistance of Andrew Wells, and looking forward to becoming an active Club Member. Carried WELCOME to our Club…… Leon Sammut and Neil Sparkes General Business: *Ed Fawkes– Requested permission to use the Shed for necessary work to be done on his 1959 Herald, it may take more than a few days. Even though it is a given for Members to use the Club Shed it is respectful to advise and apply for intended use. Thank you Ed. *Christmas Luncheon – A suggestion of a Bus to go to the luncheon was discussed. One avenue was a donation of $200, another was the cost of the diesel used. Others suggested car pooling, and advised that they can take 2, 3 or 4 passengers. Those Members needing a ride would need to meet the drivers at a central place, ie the old Railway Station. If this is acceptable please advise when advising attendance for the Luncheon. *Next Busy Bee- Not at the moment, with events etc to be attended. A date to be advised, so that the rest of the ‘meshing around’ can be done. There being no further business, meeting closed at 11.40am. Next Meeting Sat. November 18th Addendum to Minutes – (after the meeting) *Volunteers – We were advised that Wheatbelt Volunteer Hub, a Group co-ordinating Volunteers would be holding a Workshop Day in Northam. Clubs wishing to be involved could book a Stall.
