CORPORATE EXHIBIT ($10,000)A corporate exhibit is available in the West Donor Lobby of the Long Center. The space measures 47‘6” x 40’ for a very spacious 1,548 square feet. The space is indoors and electric power is provided at no additional charge. There restrooms conveniently located near the lobby with direct access to the West Mezzanine. Exhibits should plan for PRIDE guests to access the West Mezzanine through the lobby area. At capacity, the space is estimated to hold approximately 125 people. Corporate exhibit is limited to one company. Purchasing company should plan to staff the area for the duration of the two day event.

LOBBY EXHIBIT BOOTH ($2500)Vendors who wish to have a presence in the Long Center throughout the 2 day event may opt for a Lobby Exhibit Booth. Booths are limited and all booths should be considered premium placement. Vendors will be provided one 4” table and 2 folding chairs upon request. There is electric power available upon request at no additional charge. The booth areas measure approximately 6” long by 2” deep. Booths are available on both the orchestra and mezzanine levels. Placement is first come, first serve.

BUSINESS BOOTH - OUTDOORS ($500 business / $250 non-profit organization)A limited number of vendor booths are available on the West Lawn of the Long Center. Business booths include electric power, 10’ x 10’ tent, 6’ folding table, and 2 folding chairs at no additional charge. Placement is determined on a first come first serve basis. Businesses should plan to staff the booth from 10am - 6pm on Saturday, June 5, 2010.

By signing, I certify that I have read and understand the application instructions, rules for participation, and the parade contingent conrtact. As the primary contact person, I understand I will be the only person the AGLCC will contact to inform the group of important information, dates, and requests for additional information. I further understand that participation in the Pride Parade is a privilege and will adhere to the letter, the spirit, and the principles of this event. Tis is a binding contract and I am 18 years of age or older and have been authorized by my sponsoring organization to enter into this contract.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONSAll parade contingents must have a signed parade application and parade contingent contract on file in order to participate, unless otherwise approved in writing by the organizers. Applications from prior years are not held over to the current year. Each organization must submit an application.

Applications submitted without payment in full will be rejected. There is a one-time fee of $250 minus discounts payable by check, money order, or credit card due at the time the application is submitted. Applications received after May 28, 2010, are considered “late” and will be charged a $50 entry fee. Late applications are accepted at the discretion of the organizers and only as resources and time permit.

Each parade contingent must apply separately.

Sponsoring Organization: Each entry shall have a sponsoring organization. This may be a business, government agency, individual, non-profit group, etc. Complete information for the sponsoring organization must be provided.

Contact Person: Each entry shall have one primary contact person. This person will be the only individual contacted by the organizers and must have authority to make decisions on behalf of the sponsoring organization. Please provide complete information for this individual including (if possible) a mobile phone number that we can call on the day of the parade should it be necessary.

Fees: Please select the appropriate category for your entry. In most cases you will select “standard entry”. If you have questions about the fee structure please contact the parade organizer at [email protected].

Payment: Payment may be made by check, money order, or Visa, or Master-card. Payment in full must accompany your application.

Title and Specification: If your entry has a title (other than the name of the sponsoring organization), please fill it in. Furthermore, please give us as much detail as possible about the nature of your entry. This is very important as it is used to determine parade lineup and spacing. Please include the number of people walking or riding, the number of vehicles, any animals present, and any amplified sound you intend to use.

Public Information: Unless you select otherwise (by checking the box shown), information about your organization and entry may be made avail-able on the Pride web site, in pre-event publicity, and to the media. If you have a description you would like to use for these purposes of your entry, please provide it here.

Signature: Your application is not complete unless it is signed. Please read and understand all terms and conditions. You are signing a legal, binding contract.

RULES FOR PARTICIPATIONCancellations and Refunds: Applications may be cancelled at any time upon written request, however there will be no refunds for parade entry fees unless the event is cancelled by the organizers.

Placement: Austin Pride reserves the sole right to place parade participants in any order deemed appropriate. Placement is not on a first-come, first-served basis. Entries will receive their parade order numbers on or before the day of the event.

Restricted Objects: None of the following items may be handed out or be a part of your contingent without the prior written approval of the Austin Pride Organizers: live animals, bottled water, confetti, silly string, air horns, or amplified sound.

Furthermore, Austin Pride prohibits the following items along the parade route: glass bottles, balloons filled with anything other than helium or air, body armor, bricks, stones, projectile launching equipment (including water guns), or operational gas masks.

Alcohol or Drug Use: Alcohol and drug use are prohibited in the pre-parade assembly area or on the parade route.

Good Taste: Nudity, lewdness, or obscenity are prohibited by state and local laws. All entries must exhibit good taste or be removed from the parade. Parade organizers shall have sole discretion to determine violations of this rule.

Confirmation Notification: Confirmation notification will be mailed and/or emailed within ten days of receipt of the application. For late applications (after May 28), confirmation notifications will be sent as soon as possible.

Contingent Monitors: Each contingent MUST provide monitors for their group based on the following ratios: 1-9 persons in the group: no monitors required 10-20 persons in the group: 2 monitors required 21-40 persons in the group: 4 monitors required 41-80 persons in the group: 8 monitors required

People in or on motor vehicles are considered persons in your group. The contingent monitors will walk along side the parade contingent. Their role will be to ensure proper and safe behavior and adherence to the parade rules. Your monitors must be present for a mandatory orientation on the morning of the parade. Failure to provide sufficient monitors or to attend the orientation is grounds for removal from the parade.

Live Animals: You must have written permission from Austin Pride to include live animals in your contingent. All animals must be on a leash or appropriately restrained. All contingents must follow safety codes for the City of Austin and is responsible for ensuring their compliance. You are responsible for cleaning up after your animals. Any obvious animal abuse will be reported to the SPCA and the Austin Police and will result in removal from the parade.

Motor Vehicles: All motor vehicles in the parade must be properly registered and insured on the day of the parade, and all drivers must have valid drivers licenses. This will be verified on the day of the parade. Drivers will be required to sign a liability release form. Failure to provide valid licenses, proof of insurance, or to sign the release form is grounds for removal from the parade.

Floats: Floats and decorated cars must have a fire extinguisher on board at ALL times. Any electrical generators on floats must be properly secured to the float and pass all fire and safety checks.

Fire Inspection: Pre-parade fire inspection will be at 5pm. Entrants who do not pass all inspections may be removed from the parade.

Check-In: Each contingent must check-in at The Long Center no later than 1:00pm on the day of the parade. Groups will receive their sequence number at that time. Groups not present by 1:00pm will be assigned to the back of the parade, resources permitting.

Behavior: Courteous and respectful behavior is required at all times. Individuals or groups exhibiting abusive or inappropriate behavior towards parade organizers or others may be removed from the parade. Please do not antagonize any protesters who may be present at the parade.

Political Statements: Any political statements or endorsements made by participants in the parade are not necessarily the opinions of the Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce or the Austin Pride Parade organizers.

Trademarks: The Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce reserves the exclusive right to use of its logo, name, marks, symbols, and other intellectual property. Any use of these without express written consent is a violation of these rules and will result in expulsion from the event.

PARADE CONTINGENT CONTRACTThe applicant understands that the Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (“AGLCC”) has legal possession and control of the Austin Pride Parade on Saturday, June 5, 2020, pursuant to our agreement with the City of Austin. The applicant further understands that AGLCC retains the right to terminate the applicant’s participation if, in the sole determination of AGLCC, (1) the applicant is found to have falsified any of the statements contained in this application; (2) the applicant is found to have changed or added to the description of the contingent’s activities in this Application without prior written approval; (3) the applicant creates a nuisance to AGLCC, its licensees, its staff or volunteers, and/or its guests; or (4) the applicant’s activities in the parade interfere in any way with the orderly, safe, and successful conduct of the Austin Pride Parade.

The applicant further agrees (1) to furnish all monitors for his/her/their contingent according to the rules set forth in this application; (2) to be checked-in and ready to participate as assigned to him/her/them no later than 1:00pm or risk being considered a “no show” with the understanding that any parade contingent “no shows” will (a) not be eligible for a fee refund; (b) all contingents not completely present will be placed at the back of the parade or will not participate at all; (3) to be solely responsible for all the participants in his/her/their contingent; (4) fees are non-transferrable; (5) to provide all requested support documentation with the understanding that participation in the parade may be denied without it; (6) to indemnify and hold harmless AGLCC, its staff, and its volunteers against any and all liabilities arising from the conduct of the operations covered by this Contract.

The applicant agrees participation in Austin Pride Parade is voluntary and the applicant will hold harmless AGLCC of all liabilities.

This contract also affirms the individual, organization, agency, or business named does not discriminate in hiring, employment, participation or services rendered based on the fact or perception of a person’s race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, domestic partner status, marital status, disability, or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome or HIV status.

Signing the application also affirms the applicant is not sponsored by any third party organization or business. Any waiver of the aforementioned is at the sole discretion of AGLCC and can only be affected by the express written consent of AGLCC.

By signing, I affirm I have read and clearly understand the information contained in this application and the responsibilities accorded to me as a participating contingent in the Austin Pride Parade. I understand that fees, once paid, will NOT be refunded except if the event is cancelled by AGLCC.

This application is for an outdoor booth on the lawn of The Long Center. The application fee of $500 for businesses and $250 for non-profit organizations includes (1) 10x10 tent, (1) 6’ x 30” table, (1) folding chair, (1) electric outlet, (1) general admission pass. This application does not include a parking pass.

REFUND / CANCELATION POLICY: Austin PRIDE reserves the right to refuse refunds. Registered booths that are not occupied by 10am on Saturday, June 5, 2010 may be re-sold to another vendor.

This application is subject to approval and acceptance by Austin PRIDE, Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (AGLCC) and to availability. AGLCC in their sole discretion, reserve the right to reject this application for any reason, including without limitation, booths that would be inappropriate given the nature and location of the even, or which may be offensive to Austin PRIDE patrons. Since Austin PRIDE 2010 is occurs on property controlled by The Long Center and is subject to lease between it and AGLCC, all rules and regulations of The Long Center apply to this application and are strictly enforced. A copy of the rules and regulations will be provided upon Applicant request. Any violation of these rules and regulations by a person associated with the Applicant will result in immediate expulsion of the Applicant without refund or compensation.

Because space is limited, registered booth areas will only be held until 10am on Saturday, June 5, 2010. If the Applicant does not occupy and have its exhibit setup by then, AGLCC has the right, at its sole discretion, to award the booth reserved for the Applicant to another entity. AGLCC will not refund any portion of the amount paid by Applicant pursuant to this application.
