11. Choice of Test Centre: Three options of entrance test centres should be
given in order of preference. If the minimum number of candidates in a
centre are not available, the centre may be cancelled and you may be allottedanother centre, as far as possible as per your option.

If your results are not yet declared before the date of your application or if you are going to appear for the qualifying examination, enclose proof of
your study such as Admit Pass/Hall Ticket/bona fide certificate.
14. Information on minority community is only for the purpose of statistical
information to the UGC/GOI. (darken the circle). If yes, specify.
15-17. Furnish the information as applicable to you. (16) Please list all theprogrammes to which you have applied to. If anyone wishes to apply for twotests being held at the same time, they have to make their decision. Separatetest will not be arranged for them i.e. to appear one after the other.
18. (a) Those applying for M.Phil./Ph.D. should write the topic of research. Ifshortlisted for interview, they should bring with them 10 copies of the
abstract of their research proposal.
(b) If you have been awarded a JRF by the UGC, darken the circle and write
the details and enclose a copy of the award letter.
19. The details may be given. Note that government employees have to producepermission/relieving order from their employer at the time of joining the
programme.
20-21. Provide the required information by darkening the circle.
22. List of publications, if any, may be attached to the application.
23. Fill the details if you are awarded M.Phil/M.Litt. by the CIEFL/EFLU.
For Ph.D. candidates who seek exemption from the Written Test
Candidates for admission to a particular area of Ph.D. may be exempted fromthe Written Test provided they hold an M.Phil/M.Litt. degree from CIEFL/EFL
University in the same area. Such candidates will be directly called for theinterview.The decision on the exemption taken by the committee concerned shallbe fina l.
24. Declaration by the applicant: It should be signed by the candidate
herself/himself. If the signature is found to be fake at any time (during or after

completion of the course) it will lead to automatic cancellation of the studentsadmission in the University, if granted/cancellation of the degreeif awarded inaddition to appropriate action as the University may deem fit.
25. Declaration by the Father/Mother/Guardian: This should be signed strictly
by the Father or Mother of the candidate, or by the Legal Guardian, if both theparents are not alive. The signature of Parent(s) /Legal Guardian appearing in
the respective application form submitted by the student will be used for allpurposes as the authentic one and liable for verification by State/Central
Governments or other organizations as the case may be, during the period ofthe studies in the University. If the signatures of Parent(s)/ Legal Guardian arefound to be fake at any time (during or after completion of the course), the
discovery may lead to automatic cancellation of admission of her/his ward, ifgranted/cancellation of the degree if awarded including appropriate action as
the University may deem fit.
General Instructions
Permanent address of the candidates shall be the base for considering hostelaccommodation. Candidates who require hostel accommodation will be requiredto produce a residence or nativ ity certificate issued by a competent authority
at the time of admission, if granted. Therefore, candidates are advised tofurnish the correct permanent and present mailing address at the placeprovided both in the Application Form. All communications will be sent to the
present mailing address only.
Use of mobile phones/or any electronic devices including calculators is strictlyprohibited in the test centre. The University cannot make any arrangements
for the custody of mobile phones outside the test hall.
Issue of Admit Passes:
a) The Admit Passes will be displayed in the University website www.efluniversity.ac.in at least 10 days before the commencement of
entrance tests. They will be displayed programme-wise, centre-wise.Applicants should download their Admit Pass. There will be no dispatchof Admit Passes nor will duplicate Admit Passes be issued at the Test
Centre. The candidates will not be permitted to write the entrance test atany other centre except at the centre mentioned in the Admit Pass.
b) It may be noted that all those who apply may sometimes be issued AdmitPasses without verifying whether or not they satisfy the eligibility criterionfor admission to a course. The eligibility will be finally verified at the time

of final admission, if granted. The candidates are therefore advised to gothrough the Prospectus 2011-12 carefully and make sure of theireligibility before submitting their application forms. Despite this caution,in case the candidates do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria and
still apply and appear for the entrance test, they will do so at their ownrisk and cost. Mere issue of Admit Pass and allowing a candidate forEntrance Test including interview will not entitle a candidate for any
claim on admission if s/he does not fulfill the required eligibilityconditions for admission as prescribed in the Prospectus 2011-12. If it isfound that a candidate does not fulfill the minimum eligibilityrequirements, his/her candidature will not be considered for
admission and if the admission is granted, it shall be cancelled ipsofacto.
Filled in applications for all other programmes should be sent/submitted to theController of Examinations, EFL University, Hyderabad - 500 007.
University will not be responsible for any postal delay. Candidates are
