Please mark below your preferences for your active participation at Mid Europe (we encourage you to mark more than one). Your wishes will be respected, but can not be guaranteed. We will make our best

effort to find a good balance for all participating groups):

Reading Session (the ensemble sight reads music [no advance preparation necessary] from the exhibiting publishers.

Duration of concerts in the Congress Schladming: concert duration may not exceed 50 minutes of music

approval of your proposed program for concerts in the Congress Schladming as well as church concerts (please suggest a versatile program for a varied audience; please use sheet 3 of this excel file titled program submission)

Encores are NOT permitted due to the strict timetable[The conductor will be responsible and held accountable if the time limit is exceeded . This could result in a fine of € 1.000,- to cover extra personell and concert venue costs. The organizer can halt your concert if times are not observed. Extended concert durations have to be approved in advance (with your program submission) by the artistic director.]

Duration of Open Air concerts: duration may not exceed 50 minutes of music. Please prepare entertainment literature for this performance. Programs from open air performances do not need to be approved.

Duration of church concerts: duration may not exceed 50 minutes of music (Please submit your program via the program suggestion form [sheet 3] to the artistic director)

Mid Europe provides basic percussion equipment (please see sheet 4 in this excel file titled percussion list for the detailed equipment list) for Open Air concerts, concerts in the Congress Schladming and church concerts as well as rehearsal. Instruments that are not listed will NOT be provided, such as harp, stringbass, and other percussion instruments. Each ensemble is responsible for bringing these or renting them.

The application fee will be returned in full immediately if the ensemble is not accpeted to perform at Mid Europe 2013. If the application fee has not been received by the time of the performance, Mid Europe has the right to cancel your performance. Ensembles that are accepted to perform at the 16th Mid Europe in Schladming MUST pay their own expenses (travel, accomotdation, etc.). Application fees will not be returned after acceptance to the festival.

Please submit your program suggestions for the concerts in the Congress Schladming and church concerts as soon as possible, but not later than March 18, 2013 to Prof. Johann Mösenbichler: (please use program submission [sheet 3] form to do so) [email protected]

Mid Europe schedules a 20 minute dress rehearsal for each ensemble on the day of the concert. To follow our strict schedule, please follow directions of our stage managment team.

If you would like additional rehearsal time, we can offer you a gym space. Reservation requests and wishes must be submitted by March 18, 2013. Mid Europe will try to accommodate your request, but cannot guarantee availability.
