The Annual Fund has raised more than $145,000 since its 2007 start. 100 percent of these Annual Fund monies benefit Missouri State University-West Plains students.
82 percent of students receiving emergency grants completed the semester, re-enrolled or graduated. Emergency grants are keeping students in school.
The Annual Fund recently funded the purchase of computer equipment for Shannon Hall on the Mtn. Grove campus.
8 students have already benefited from book scholarships for non-traditional students made possible through the Annual Fund.
The Annual Fund awards child care assistance vouchers to help our non-traditional students afford child care.
Small donations to the Annual Fund make a big difference in students’ lives.

The founders of Missouri State University-West Plains had a vision that a regional university campus would transform the lives of our residents and the seven counties we serve. Nearly 50 years later, the university continues a proud tradition of serving our region, yet the combination of shrinking state funding and significant enrollment growth has created a challenge that can only be helped through private giving.
We hope you will consider a financial investment in the Missouri State University-West Plains Annual Fund. Originally named the Campus Opportunities Campaign, the name change was made to reflect the ongoing needs of the university and the legacy of its mission. Your contributions will help ensure quality educational opportunities remain affordable and accessible to area residents through Missouri State-West Plains’ campuses in West Plains and Mountain Grove.
Annual Fund MoniesAre Used For….
Scholarships• Enable many of our students to achieve their
educational goals.
Emergency Grants• Help students facing difficult situations stay in
school.
Educational Initiatives• Provide academic enrichment activities for
students, including leadership and development programs, trips to conferences and competitions, cultural or arts programs and undergraduate research projects.
• Support faculty training in the latest curriculum development and teaching techniques in their field of study.
• Expand tutoring and academic support services.
• Fund guest speakers whose presentations, many of which are open to the public, cover topics of importance in today’s global society.
• Support new programs that will best prepare our students for life-long learning.
Campus Technology, Labs and Facilities• Provide state-of-the-art technology, labs and
facilities for the best learning environment, which prepares our students for the workforce and keeps our communities at the forefront of education.
University/Community Programs• Help bring cultural programs, like the Vienna
Boys Choir and the St. Louis Jazz Orchestra, to area residents at below-market admission prices.
Make Your Investment in Students Today!
Your gift can be made any time during our fiscal year, which begins July 1 and ends June 30. Gifts can be made by check (payable to the Missouri State University Foundation), credit card, or online at www.wp.missouristate.edu/development. You also have the option to pay your gift quarterly, semi-annually or through any other payment option that is convenient for you. Pledges are welcome, and we will mail you a pledge reminder in the month you request.
