ABSTRACT:

Because of the rapid depletion

of fossil fuels and rising of oil

prices has led to the search for

alternate fuels. The alternate

fuels that we are using should

have the same efficiency or

greater efficiency of the engine

that uses ordinary fuel. Our

project is partially based on

alternative fuels (HHO gas).

This HHO gas commonly

termed as “WATER GAS”

reduce the exhaust gas that is

rejected during working as well

as temperature of the engine that

is produced by the burning of

ordinary fuels. The gas that is

obtained from the electrolysis

of water is generally termed as

“WATER GAS”. HHO gas is

none other than the water gas.

Since water is the alternate fuel

for future HHO gas is extracted

from water by a simple

technology. It is a simple and

affordable technology, as it is a

supplement to gasoline, it

doubles the fuel economy.

The alternating fuel that we use

has the following performance.

• The mechanical

efficiency was found to

increase.

• The exhaust

temperature was found

to decrease.

• The cost of the blend is

low when compared to

base gasoline.

KEYWORDS: HHO

gas, enhance engine

power, quieter engine,

experiment, fuel saved and

initial cost is Rs.300.

INTRODUCTION:

The major fuels of the IC

engines are diesel and petrol

derived from petroleum. It is

expected that 80% of resources

will get exhausted by 2025. The

supply is not sufficient to meet

the demand. It is expected to last

only for 40 years considering the

present rate of increase in

consumption. This gives us a

signal to adjust ourselves to

depleting oil supply and turn to

alternative source of energy.

Water is considered to be one of

Page 3: Alternative fuel hho gas ieee

the main alternative sources of

fuel in the future since it is a non

depleting resource. However

several major technical

difficulties must be resolved

before neat HHO gas (100%)

can become a commercially

acceptable fuel for use in

vehicles. The most commonly

mentioned difficulties are cold

starting, invisible flame,

corrosion and wear of engine

and fuel system materials. Most

of these problems may be

resolved by using low and

medium concentration blends of

HHO gas and gasoline rather

than neat HHO gas. However

the use of such blends may

compromise some of HHO key

advantages like increased power,

efficiency and decreased

emissions.

The reduction in engine

emissions is a major research

aspect of engine development

with increasing concern about

environmental protection and

severe exhaust gas regulation. It

is difficult to reduce nitrogen

oxides (NOx) and smoke

simultaneously in a normal

gasoline engine due to trade-off

between NOx and smoke. One

prospective method to solve this

problem is to use alternative

oxygenated fuels or to add the

oxygenated fuels to the diesel to

provide more oxygen during

combustion. Since HHO gas is

oxygenated.

TECHNOLOGY OF THE

FUTURE:

Everybody's talking

about the power of Hydrogen.

What they don't tell

that Hydrogen cars with their

pressurized hydrogen, and

hydrogen gas stations - are a

BIG safety hazard.

The solution water4gas

which is called "Hydrogen-On-

Demand" - produce Hydrogen

when needed. No storage

tanks!!! Far better for the

environment; its cost effective,

immediate solution to the

"energy crisis" and pollution -

right now.

NECESSITY:

• VERY LITTLE

WATER is needed...

Page 4: Alternative fuel hho gas ieee

1 quart/1 Litre of water

may last for MONTHS

of driving.

Possibly double the

mileage: Clean up

emissions that damage

your health and the

health of your family.

When burned, the

"Brown's Gas" we

produce turns right back

into water! No harmful

chemicals are emitted

from this system. Since

your engine would take

LESS gasoline and

BURN IT MORE

COMPLETELY.

• Greatly enhance engine

power and performance.

• Remove carbon deposits

and prevent future

carbon build up.

• Reduce engine

temperature - protect

your environment and

your engine.

• You will notice a

calmer, quieter and

much smoother

engine & gearshifts.

This is due to the effect

water has on the

combustion cycle inside

your engine.

• Enjoy a longer life

expectancy of your

engine, especially

pistons, valves, rings and

bearings.

MAKING OF WATER GAS

DEVICE:

For instance, a drilling

template that's so accurate,

drill through the paper on the

red dots. No measuring or

marking to do - it cannot get

any easier than this.

This drilling template will

help to make the Electrolyser

("Hydrogen Generator"),

which is the heart of the

hydrogen system

WORKING:

It's very simple. A quart-

size (95O cc) container is placed

somewhere under the hood. You

fill it with DISTILLED

WATER and a little bit of

BAKING SODA. The device

gets vacuum and electricity (12

Volts) from the engine, and

produces HHO gas (Hydrogen

+ Oxygen). The HHO gas is

Page 5: Alternative fuel hho gas ieee

supplied to the engine's intake

manifold or carburetor as shown

.The electrical connection is

very simple - we have

eliminated the need to use relays

or any other complications. The

device connects to the 12 Volts

of the battery via the ignition

switch, to prevent hydrogen

production when the engine is

off. The device is fuse protected

and draws very little current,

only 1-3 Amps! This takes 10

minutes or less to connect.

PROFIT CALCULATION:

Under normal conditions

average time taken for 5cc of

fuel consumption is 51.2sec

Using HHO gas the average

time taken for 5cc of fuel

consumption is 55.6sec

So we save 4.4sec for every 5cc

of fuel consumption

For our convenience

Ordinary fuel consumed i.e.

normal conditions 1cc=10.24sec

This can be converted to lit/hr

i.e.

(10.24*1000)/3600=3.28lit/hou

r

Similarly for HHO gas

(11.12*1000)/3600=3.08lit

/hours

Therefore, (3.28-3.08) = 0.20lit

is being saved for an hour.

In terms of fuel that is being

saved 20*60=1200sec

=1200/11.12=107.8ml

So we save 108 ml for every

liter of fuel i.e. 10.8% of fuel is

saved.

DAMAGE PROOF:

The car is being damaged

right now by unburned fuel! By

this technology will help not

only eliminate carbon deposits

caused by unburned gasoline .

Over the first few weeks you

will notice that the engine

becomes smoother and

smoother. The engine stops

knocking or "pinging". The

effect is not only less noise, it's

also less vibration, resulting in

reduced strain on the

transmission (thus smoother

gear shifts), cleaner pistons and

valves, and generally better

engine operation.

CONCLUSION:

HHO gas technology is still

considered experimental but it is

a supplemental fuel additive of

sorts that could help you

increase mileage, increase

horsepower, reduce emissions

while providing a quieter and

cleaner engine. Energy must be

conserved in one way or other

so we are trying to implement

this in the future. This might be

a good plan to save the

environment
