Message From Th e President
Coming off the back side of another successful Annual General Meeting, it is great to see
the staff , Board, and volunteers all engaged in the success and future of Agribition. We
have a powerful mix of tradition, vision, and passion on our new Board of Directors. It’s an
exciting time to be part of the show.
Over the last year we’ve worked hard to respect volunteer time. New organizational
structure has minimized the amount of time we spend in meetings, and advanced our
planning cycle by 6 months. This is a testament to when a team of dedicated individuals
makes a commitment to act as one, the sky is the limit.
Reed Andrew,
President of Canadian Western Agribition
Joining President Reed Andrew to the Executive include Vice-President Stewart Stone of Regina as well as members-at-large Curtis Kuchinka and
Bryce Thompson of Regina, Blake MacMillan of Nokomis and past President Bryan Hadland of Weldon.

William M Farley Memorial ScholarshipLargest Donation in CWA History to Support Post-Secondary and Graduate Students
It is with great pleasure that Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) acknowledges Lilie R Farley for her $50,000
donation to establish the William M Farley Memorial Scholarship in memory of her late husband, Bill Farley. This
is the largest individual donation CWA has received in its history.
Bill Farley was a seed grower from Grand Coulee and started as a CWA supporter in 1980 by getting involved
with the Grain Show. This area of the show grew under his guidance including a forage and pedigreed seed
competition. For 10 years Bill was involved in CWA as both a board member and an active committee chair. In
1994 he received the Chris Sutter Award for playing a signifi cant role in the development and sustainability of
CWA.
The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students fi nancially and encourage them to continue
post secondary education. A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving recipient each
year, starting this fall.
We are very grateful for Lil’s generous contribution towards the scholarship program and for
supporting youth in agriculture.
