McCoy Cattle Co.

Pick of the 2014 Heifer Calves

McCoy Cattle Co. offers the pick of our 2014 born heifer crop. No females have been sold from the 2014 calf crop. Selection to be made by January 1, 2015.

We welcome you to pick from our 2014 heifer crop. This is truly one of the most complete groups of females we have produced. We continue to strive to produce high performance, easy fleshing, moderate framed cattle with increased emphasis on calving ease and hair coat in recent years. I feel the 2014 group is the closest we have come to reaching our goals in regards to these selection criteria. Heifer calves will be weaned in early November and ready for your assessment at any time. Sires of the 2014 crop include Chronicle, Volt, Diesel, Verdict, XLT, Astro, and Yukon. Due to multiple time commitments we have opted to participate in Agribition 2014 with a display in “The Yards” rather than managing multiple stalls in the show barn. Please stop by our display in the commercial barn to view videos or review performance data/EPDs on the 2014 heifer crop.

Prairie Hills Gelbvieh Pick of the 2014 Heifer Calf Show String

Pick of the 2014 Heifer Calf Show StringPick of the 2014 Heifer Calf Show StringPick of the 2014 Heifer Calf Show StringPick of the 2014 Heifer Calf Show StringWe always try to do something special for the Agribition sale. After sorting through the replacement heifers, Klint & Galen were unable to narrow it down to just one female to offer, so we decided to make it easy and just offer choice of the open females in the show string. These females are truly from the top of our herd and represent the type of females we’re building our program around. There is truly a female in this pick for everyone - whether you’re looking for a brood female, a show prospect, or that all around combination female. Some of the most powerful and predictable cow families in the PHG program are represented - females that have produced Denver champions, futurity candidates, and high sellers in the US and Canada. On the sire side, these are the first daughters of Yikes, Sucker Punch, and Bakken to sell anywhere. We last offered a choice of females in 2012, and ended up selling both females to Royal Western Gelbvieh and Twisted T Gelbvieh. Both of these ladies have gone on to be awesome producers in their programs. Which female will be the next great producer? The decision is yours at the drop of the gavel! We are going to retain a right to flush on the female that is chosen at the sellers expense and buyers convenience.
